BCCP recently conducted a two-day training workshop across 10 upazilas in Bangladesh.

BCCP recently conducted a two-day training workshop across 10 upazilas in Bangladesh, including Chilmari, Kurigram Sadar, Dewanganj, Islampur, Koyra, Dacope, Shyamnagar, Kaliganj, Chakaria, and Teknaf. The workshop aimed to enhance the capacity of local-level government officials from various ministries to effectively implement the Bangladesh Climate Change and Gender Action Plan (CCGAP).

The training focused on equipping officials with the skills and knowledge to integrate gender equality into climate change adaptation strategies at the local level. With regions like Koyra, Dacope facing severe climate-related challenges such as flooding and cyclones, the workshop emphasized the importance of inclusive, gender-sensitive climate resilience.

A key focus was ensuring womenโ€™s active participation in climate resilience strategies, as women, particularly in rural areas, are often the most affected by climate change but are frequently excluded from decision-making processes. By promoting gender equity in adaptation plans, BCCP aims to foster stronger, more resilient communities across Bangladesh.

Letโ€™s continue to build an equitable and sustainable future for all! ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŒ
