Dhaka Doclab Dhaka DocLab is an Asian Forum for documentary Filmmakers. Dhaka DocLab is the pioneer platform for pitching and mentoring of documentary filmmakers.

Dhaka DocLab stands as the trailblazer in Bangladesh, providing a vital platform for pitching and mentoring of documentary filmmakers. Dhaka DocLab organizes an annual event of pitching for Asian documentary filmmakers. Besides, Dhaka DocLab engages itself through organizing workshops, Masterclasses, seminars for documentary filmmakers of Bangladesh. The Lab wishes to be a productive hub for Asian

creative content and reality storytelling. Through our initiatives-Bangladeshi filmmakers have already availed opportunities of collaboration for their non-fiction film projects. A number of film projects, which were pitched in early editions of DDL got the opportunity for collaboration including: Things I Could never Told My Mother and My Sister, My Friend (NHK World, Japan), Last Visit (Docs-port Incheon (Korea) & Waiting for Winter (HAF, Hong Kong Asia Film Financing) Hong Kong & Rhythm of Bubble & NOC (IEFTA, France).

Due to ongoing economic challenges and prevailing uncertainties, Dhaka DocLab management committee has made the difficult decision to cancel it's annual program in August this year.
