It was really a wonderful experience to participate at Sheffield DocFest earlier this month with a delegation of Bangladeshi filmmakers, who has participated in a pitch session on 13 June @ Crucible Playhouse, Sheffield in presence of an audience- cheering, excited and have shown their support for the lovely stories presented at the session. Credit should be given to Patrizia Mancini, Head of Sheffield Sheffield DocFest industry team & Fiona Fletcher of British Council, without their support, this event couldn't have been possible! Filmmakers- Tayran Razzak, Piplu R Khan, Kazi Arefin Ahmed & Makbul Chowdhury needed to be thanked specially for extending support to become part of this delegation!

Due to ongoing economic challenges and prevailing uncertainties, Dhaka DocLab management committee has made the difficult decision to cancel it's annual program in August this year. We understand the importance of this event in our community across different countries and share in the disappointment. We appreciate your continued support and hope to return next year in 2027.
