ATROCITY RISK AND STRATEGIES FOR PREVENTION IN BANGLADESH

This session presents the findings of two research reports on the structural risk of atrocity crimes in Bangladesh, grounded in the UN Framework of Analysis for Atrocity Crimes and shaped by local expertise. The panel reflects on how zero sum politics, weakened institutional accountability, and the misuse of state security forces have repeatedly placed the country at risk, and discusses what governments, civil society, and international partners can do now to strengthen institutions and prevent future violence.

Fireside Session On Economic Plan, Revenue And Investment

This session presents a conversation between Professor Mushtaq Khan and Dr. Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir on the economic trajectory of Bangladesh. Drawing on a relationship that spans from academic mentorship to public policy leadership, the discussion explores employment generation, investment-led growth, revenue mobilization without increasing tax rates, and the institutionalization of anti-corruption measures.
