As Bangladesh's foreign policy is being redrawn around economic opportunity and autonomy with regional powers, Prof. Khasru's op-ed today in The Indian Express reads Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's first overseas outreach as the clearest signal yet of this recalibration. Among others, he argues that India should stop viewing Dhaka's ties with Malaysia and China as zero-sum, and instead build a lasting relationship on reciprocity, not assumption.

On June 2, Prof. Syed Munir Khasru, Chairman of IPAG, joined the SPIEF Session on “National Resilience in the Midst of Global Turbulence: States Confronting Worldwide Stressors,” in St. Petersburg, Russia.

The discussion focused on how states can navigate global transformation, protect themselves from acute external risks, and still preserve space for development and cooperation. Prof. Khasru shared his perspective on strengthening resilience through governance, institutional preparedness, economic adaptability, and international cooperation.

On June 1, Prof. Syed Munir Khasru, Chairman of IPAG, met Dr. Alexander Dynkin, President, the Primakov Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO), in Moscow.
