Condolence Message
Mr. Meherab Hossain, a visually impaired alumnus of the Institute of Education and Research (IER), University of Dhaka, and a dedicated government school teacher, passed away last night, 3 October 2026.
He overcame disability with remarkable courage and made a meaningful contribution at the national level through education and teaching. Recently, both of his kidneys became non-functional, and although he underwent a kidney transplant, complications persisted, and he ultimately passed away. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un.
The Asian Centre for Inclusive Education (ACIE) family is deeply saddened by his passing. We pray for the eternal peace and forgiveness of the departed soul and extend our heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family.

জনাব মেহেরাব হোসেন, দৃষ্টি প্রতিবন্ধী, ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষা ও গবেষণা ইনস্টিটিউট (আইইআর)-এর সাবেক শিক্ষার্থী এবং একজন নিবেদিতপ্রাণ সরকারি বিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষক, যিনি প্রতিবন্ধিতাকে জয় করে শিক্ষা ও শিক্ষকতার মাধ্যমে জাতীয় পর্যায়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অবদান রেখেছেন, গতরাতে ৩ অক্টোবর ২০২৬ তারিখে ইন্তেকাল করেছেন।
সম্প্রতি তাঁর উভয় কিডনি অকার্যকর হয়ে পড়লে কিডনি প্রতিস্থাপন করা হয়। পরবর্তীতে বিভিন্ন জটিলতা দেখা দিলে শেষ পর্যন্ত তিনি না-ফেরার দেশে পাড়ি জমান। ইন্না লিল্লাহি ওয়া ইন্না ইলাইহি রাজিউন।
এশিয়ান সেন্টার ফর ইনক্লুসিভ এডুকেশন (এসিআইই) পরিবার তাঁর মৃত্যুতে গভীরভাবে শোকাহত। আমরা মরহুমের রূহের মাগফেরাত কামনা করছি এবং শোকসন্তপ্ত পরিবারের প্রতি গভীর সমবেদনা জ্ঞাপন করছি।
