GUIDELINES | LEO TREE PLANTATION CHALLENGE – SEASON 7
Dear Fellow Leaders and Club Officers,
As we begin preparing for the Tree Plantation Challenge – Season 7, here are the guidelines to help each participating club carry out the activity smoothly and properly:
1. Planning the Activity
A proper plan and preparation beforehand can help make the plantation program organized and effective.
2. Choosing the Plantation Location
A suitable and safe location should be selected, keeping in mind the proper growth and protection of the planted trees.
3. Involving Participants
Sponsor Lions, Leo members, family members and siblings can be involved in the plantation initiative to make the activity more engaging and inclusive.
4. Arranging Plants and Equipment
Plants can be collected from local government nurseries, with the necessary equipment arranged before the plantation activity.
5. Common Banner
The Twinning Common Banner is mandatory for the activity. Handmade posters may also be prepared for the video presentation and photography competition.
6. Inviting Leaders
District/MD Leo and Lion Leaders can be invited to be part of the plantation program and its documentation.
7. Photography
Quality photographs of the plantation activity should be captured for the photography competition, highlighting the important moments of the program.
8. Video Documentation
The plantation journey should be recorded from beginning to end for the video presentation, including the relevant speeches of guests and the club presenter.
9. Protection and Regular Care
The responsibility continues after planting. The trees should be kept protected and cared for regularly, preferably once a week, to support their healthy growth.
10. Plantation Area and Report Submission
Where possible, a reserved or designated plantation area can be considered. After completing the activity, participating clubs are requested to submit their respective reports as required.
We hope these guidelines will help every participating club plan, conduct and document their plantation activity with care and responsibility.
Let’s grow something that lasts.
