🏁 The End of an Era: 5 Years of Right2Grow Bangladesh
The curtains have finally drawn on our journey. 🎭
Today, colleagues from the Right2Grow Country Consortium Bangladesh partner organizations gathered for our final coordination meeting. Under the thoughtful leadership of our Team Lead, Iqbal Azad, we conducted a comprehensive "after-action review"—critically examining our successes, our challenges, and the invaluable lessons learned along the way.
Beyond finalizing handover preparations, we took the time to reflect on our collective milestones and explore future avenues for professional growth. While the room echoed with a shared sentiment that this impactful project deserved a subsequent phase, we concluded our chapter on a high note.
🏆 Celebrating Excellence
The event culminated in a heartfelt recognition ceremony. We were honored to present crests to the focal managers from:
Max Foundation
Save the Children
Action Against Hunger (ACF)
The Hunger Project
HLP Foundation
Though our colleagues from World Vision, SDA, and Jago Nari were unable to attend, their vital contributions to this mission were deeply acknowledged.
Thus ends our five-year odyssey. It has been a privilege to work alongside such dedicated professionals. Until we meet again at the dawn of a new venture! 🌅

📢 Panel Discussion Highlight | Right2Grow National Closing Event
Topic: Institutionalizing WASH–Nutrition Budget & Expenditure at LGI Level
Date: November 3, 2025
Organized by: Max Foundation under the Right2Grow Programme

What an inspiring and solutions-driven conversation with senior leaders from BNNC, LGD, World Vision, The Hunger Project, DORP, and public health experts — all moderated by Dr. Md. Enamul Haque.

🔍 Key Takeaways:

Nutrition is multi-sectoral — shaped by WASH, income, education, food systems, and environment.

Bangladesh has strong coordination structures, but dedicated budgets at LGI level are still missing.

Union Parishads are mini-governments — and must be empowered with training, guidelines, and fiscal space.

Right2Grow’s tools — Child Profile & Costing, BEMET App, Healthy Village/Eco-Village models — are driving evidence-based planning and accountability.

The challenge is not money — it’s design, capacity, and intentional budgeting.

Institutionalization means making nutrition visible in plans, budgets, committees, and routine processes.

🟢 A shared roadmap emerged:

Scale local nutrition data nationwide

Strengthen LGI committees and capacities

Establish clear WASH–nutrition budget codes

Ensure transparent allocation, utilization & tracking

Embed LGI roles in NPP 3 for long-term sustainability

Bottom line:
Right2Grow has shown that when evidence, community demand, and LGI systems work together, WASH–nutrition improvements can move from “project activity” to permanent local governance practice.

A big thank you to all panelists for charting the path towards a stronger, institutionalized, and sustainable future for child nutrition in Bangladesh. 🌱🇧🇩

📢 : Towards Impact at Scale - Key Takeaways! 🍎
The Delivering for Nutrition in South Asia 2025 Conference concluded, leaving us with a clear roadmap to tackling the region's complex malnutrition burden. The central theme, "Towards Impact at Scale," emphasized turning evidence into widespread, sustainable action.

🌟 Key Takeaways for Nutrition in South Asia

1. Multi-Sectoral Solutions are Essential: Solving the diverse forms of malnutrition (undernutrition, micronutrient deficiencies, and rising overweight/obesity) requires integrating interventions across Food Systems, Health, Education, Social Protection, and Climate Resilience. A siloed approach won't work.

2. Prioritizing Equity and Inclusion: Interventions must be designed to effectively reach the most vulnerable populations, particularly women, adolescent girls, and children. Addressing social and gender inequities is crucial for sustainable progress.

3. Scalability and Sustainability are the Goal: The focus is on moving beyond pilot projects to large-scale, cost-effective, and long-term delivery. This requires robust systems, strong leadership, sustainable financing, and clear accountability mechanisms.

4. Addressing the Affordability of Healthy Diets: With over 1 billion people in South Asia unable to afford a healthy diet, the discussions highlighted the critical need to create resilient, inclusive, and equitable systems that make nutritious and affordable food accessible to everyone.

5. The Role of Education & Data: Education is a critical lever for improving health literacy and food choices. Alongside this, strengthening data systems, measurement, monitoring, and evaluation is key to informing policy and driving impactful change.

The collective call to action is for renewed commitment and coordinated delivery to build a nourished and healthier future for all of South Asia!
