BD RIDERZ CLUB - BRC - TERMS & CONDITIONS
What is this group ABOUT? This Club/Group is not mainly about STUNTING, RACING or TOURING. This group is all about FRIENDSHIP among the likeminded BIKERS/RIDERS. The aim of the club is to develop a Brotherhood network among bikers as a family. However, RACING, STUNTING and TOURING can be done with proper caution and safety to have fun and strong the bondage among the bikers. We at BD Riderz Club - BRC are always open to new riders and believe our strength lies in our members. However, like any other organization, we too have a certain set of rules with regard to membership and their activities in the Club. HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER ? You might have interacted with BD Riderz Club - BRC through our groups on social networking sites (facebook group) or our website, www.BdRiderzClub.com. However, to gain permanent membership and become part of the club in the true sense, you are required to attend at least ONE MONTHLY CLUB MEETING or ONE MONTHLY RIDE organized by the club. Membership maintenance procedure:
We at BD Riderz Club - BRC believe that a person’s PHYSICAL PRESENCE is a requirement to continue his/her membership in the club. If you have joined only our facebook group, as mentioned above, this DOES NOT entitle you to a permanent Club membership. Lack of any physical presence during the ONE MONTHLY CLUB MEETING or ONE MONTHLY RIDE organized by the club for a period of 3 months will be treated as a NO-SHOW. Then we consider you LEAVED the CLUB. Their membership will be withdrawn. However, your membership fee will still remain Non-Refundable. However, if after a gap of 3 months, a member would like to renew his/her membership in the Club, the member’s previous record in the Club will be taken into consideration and it will be up to the President of the Club in association with the Vice-President and other key members of the Club, to decide on renewing the membership. There is zero-tolerance for any kind of vulgarism and misbehavior by any member. The President holds the final right to dismiss a member. RULES OF THE CLUB MEETING:
BD Riderz Club - BRC meets once a month compulsorily to decide the monthly schedule of the club as well as its future plans. For more details on the Club’s meeting place, please refer the Club’s website:
www.BdRiderzClub.com or at our facebook group events. We believe in respecting the law and enjoying our freedom to ride, but within legal boundaries.
1. Members of BD Riderz Club - BRC are forbidden from consuming any form of alcohol or any other mind altering substances during the club meeting. We respect your capacity when it comes to alcohol, but, we are sorry since it does not fall within the Club’s legal framework. However, smoking 100% pure TOBACCO is certainly not a problem.
2. We believe every member’s voice is as powerful as his/her bike’s thump. We encourage debates and discussions with regard to the functionality of BD Riderz Club - BRC. We therefore, request every member present during the Club meetings to voice their opinions and make their presence felt.
3. Each member is required to be aware of his/her belongings brought to the Club meeting. Neither the other members present at the meeting nor will the staff present at our meeting place be held responsible for the supposed loss or theft of your belongings.
4. Selling and buying of any legal item is allowed among members as members can be benefited by this; there is an equal probability that a member can be cheated by another member through buying and selling. So BRC assumes NO responsibility in this regard and will not be liable for any loss. You SHOULD buy and sell TOTALLY at your own risk.
5. Except formal event, members can meet one another in a place of their choice. As there are various members from various backgrounds, you all should be very careful to an invitation by an unknown person in an unknown place. Please do not ride lonely with an unknown member by his/her sudden invitation. You may be get trapped. Formal group events announced by the BRC management is safe place to make friends; but if you do otherwise the responsibility goes to you totally. THIS IS HOW WE ROLL…
a. BD Riderz Club - BRC believes in following a certain discipline during rides. We believe in respecting the highway and assume that feeling with the highway is mutual. We therefore follow every rule set by Bangladeshi law with respect to riding on our roads. Apart from following the already set rules for riding as per law, BD Riderz Club - BRC has its own set of rules to make a ride more enjoyable and give each participant of that ride a sense of pride in being part of BRC. BRC believes in riding as a group from starting point to the destination. This holds good even for unexpected stops, especially breakdown of a fellow rider’s motorcycle. We then treat his/her problem as our problem and the group will only continue to ride till a suitable solution for the broken down vehicle is reached. BRC has a specific plan for each and every ride. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, there might be discrepancies in our schedule. If at this point, any participant feels slightly uncomfortable, please then intimate your feelings to the RIDE CAPTAIN of that particular ride. Then again, we request the member to respect the decision of the RIDE CAPTAIN which in all senses is to be treated as the final word. BRC cannot dictate terms on National/State Highways, so we believe in minimizing the occurrence of any unforeseen or unexpected circumstances. We therefore stress on both rider and pillion safety. We would appreciate if both riders and pillions come for the ride in appropriate riding gear. This would include jackets (preferably armored), gloves (protective in nature) and ankle length boots. If you feel like adding on to all this, please do so. It is not compulsory to come for the ride with such gear. BD RIDERZ CLUB - BRC understands the constraints of its members and not everybody might have access to such equipment. However, it is necessary, compulsory and mandatory for both rider and pillion to wear full faced helmets during the highway ride. We do not believe in riding uncomfortably. However, since safety is a priority, we stress on at least minimum riding gear. Added to this, it is mandatory for the participant of the ride to be clothed appropriately. We do not want to dictate your dress code but we would like to ensure you at least don’t have a wardrobe malfunction during the ride. g. Along with rider and pillion safety, we stress that a well maintained or serviced vehicle be brought for the ride to minimize the occurrence of unforeseen or unexpected circumstances. In BRC, we have a variety of motorcycles varying in age as well as type. We therefore appreciate it if each rider be responsible for the machine he/she brings along for the ride and carries the appropriate tools and spares required irrespective of the duration of the ride. h. We BRCians believe in enjoying our rides and more so enjoying it as a group of riders. The participants of our rides are expected to ride as a pack. This is largely achieved through our various formations we follow on the highway based on the conditions prevalent on the road at that time. These formations which are subject to change based on the condition of the road taken will be dictated by the ride captain of that ride. i. Since the Club has its own style of riding, and since every ride of the Club has at least one new member, the ride captains along with the senior members of the club always ensure that there is a briefing before the ride. During this time of briefing, we request each participant of the ride to devote his undivided attention to the members giving the brief. This would especially include senior and experienced members of BRC who are accustomed to the Club’s riding ways. We request you to give the member giving the brief his due respect and set an example to your juniors/new members. j. Members of BRC are allowed only to bring LEGAL motorcycles for the rides. They must carry all the legal documents (Bluebook, insurance, Driving License etc.) If due to any unforeseen circumstance, this cannot be achieved and there is still an urge to be part of the ride, please do not hesitate in becoming a fellow member’s pillion. BRC will not bear responsibility if any member get harassed because of his/her illegal bike. k. BRC consists of a group of likeminded motorcycle owners who share a similar passion for riding on the highway. We treat our rides as a means of fun and enjoyment and as a reason for being carefree. We therefore do not believe in adding any burden to our rides by following a certain cause. THIS IS HOW WE DON’T ROLL…
1. BRC believes in riding as a group. We are not a group of solo riders.
2. BRC follows a disciplined pattern of riding. This includes even the speed we maintain on our rides. Each participant of the ride must adhere to the speed set by the ride captain. We would not appreciate it if any participant tends to break our speed limits. We would really not appreciate it, if a participant tends to lag behind during the ride. This would break the whole idea of riding as a group and in a formation.
3. BRC is not responsible for any incidents which occur due to rash or careless riding on behalf of the participant. All the members of BRC should be 18+ . So the club assumes no responsibility for anyone going to tour or highway without informing their parents. It is not possible for BRC to meet everyone’s parent. So each member will bear his/her own responsibly for any unfavorable incident happening.
4. We encourage friendship during our rides and it is during our rides that we meet new people. We expect each member of BRC to be disciplined, in all senses and connotations of the word.
