The Executive Director (Programme), Mr. K M Zahiduzzaman, alongside Mr. Sk. Mahabbat Hossen, Team Leader, Rights and Governance Sector of Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) , participated at the Ashshash Project Joint Partners Meeting organized by Winrock International today at Hotel Amari, Dhaka.

It was a productive meeting reviewing project milestones, addressing implementation challenges, and strategizing for sustainable impact ahead with fellow partner organizations and project leaders.

​Together, we remain committed to strengthening human rights, good governance, and community empowerment.

Dr. Maheen Malik, Regional Director, Programs for South Asia and Jordan, Campaign for To***co-Free Kids (CTFK), USA, attended the event as the host.

Dr. S. M. Khalilur Rahman, Vice President (Programs) of Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM), conducted a supervision visit to Nayantara Urban Community Learner Center (UCLC) at Pallabi-Dhaka under the EAST ALOKON Project.
During the visit, Dr. Rahman observed the project’s non-formal primary education activities and engaged in meaningful discussions with teachers about the progress, participation and learning achievements of the students. He took time to listen to the teachers’ experiences, challenges and aspirations, reflecting DAM’s commitment to ensuring quality education. He closely observed the classroom environment, teaching-learning activities and listened to the children.

The visit provided a renewed sense of motivation to the teachers, students and project team. It also reinforced the importance of creating safe, supportive, and child-friendly learning spaces where every child can discover their potential and build hope for a better future.

The EAST ALOKON Project has been implementing by Edcuation Sector of DAM to provide quality non-formal education to underprivileged children living in urban slums of Dhaka city.
