In the last session of the Tareque Masud Technical Show, organized by the Tareque Masud Memorial Trust (TMMT), the Independent Film Producers' Platform of Bangladesh (IFPPB), and Cine Craft, four short films by four young filmmakers were screened. The films presented were "Red Apple" by Ahsan Sarun, "Joining Letter" by Nahid Noman, "Window of the Soul" by Yusuf Khan Nur, and "Ongikar" by Ananto Kumar Das.
After the screening of each film, invited guests engaged in detailed discussions about various aspects of the films. The discussion panel included filmmaker and film critic Sadia Khalid Riti, filmmaker Prasun Rahman, film educator Dr. Muhammad Sajjad Hossain, cinematographer Mohammad Arifuzzaman, filmmaker and editor Sharmin Doza, filmmaker and researcher Sajedul Islam, and sound editor Nahid Masud.
The audience and panelists were amazed and impressed by the diversity of themes and the innovative storytelling approaches of these young filmmakers. They also provided constructive feedback on how to further enhance each film. The filmmakers expressed their satisfaction at being able to showcase their work to the audience and appreciated the valuable insights they received. Guests and filmmakers alike expressed optimism that such initiatives would help young creators progress in their journeys.
Previously, on Friday, November 8, the show featured A Snail Without a Shell by Mohin Rakhine Tamukkhya, Roots That Clutch by Khalek Sadman, and Tiras by Subhasish Sinha.
