নিরাপদ সড়ক চাই/Nirapad Sarak Chai None of us are safe on road in Bangladesh. Every year thousands of people, children and women are killed on the roads. We demand Safe Road.

As responsible citizens, let us join hands. Road crash is an epidemic in Bangladesh. According to police reports (FIR), 4 to 5 thousand people die every year in Bangladesh due to road accidents and according to BUET accident research center, the death toll every year is 10-12 thousand. Countless number of people are injured or become disabled destroying so many lives and families. The national los

s has been estimated around Taka 5,000-7,000 Crores every year. Almost 30% of the national healthcare budget is used behind road crash victims incurring a financial loss to our economy equivalent to 2% of our national GDP. Nirapad Sarak Chai (We demand Safe Road) has been working for the last 21 years to prevent and reduce road crashes. Road crashes can be reduced if proper awareness is built up among the common people and proper training given to drivers and all road users. We must ensure road safety at all cost.
