We do virtual meeting with community members to disscuss agendas or planning for a upcomming event or just help a fellow mozillian. This live discussions or virtual meetings are mostly done with IRC. IRC is a protocol for live chat/ conferencing. There are many different softwares to access IRC. Some of them are listed here https://wiki.mozilla.org/IRC
Pick an IRC client, then install. After installing open the IRC client. Now you have to connect to a server to chat. As we are Mozillian, :) here to connect to the Mozilla IRC server with irc.mozilla.org
After successful connection you will find different rooms with names. We have room for our local community. You can join any of the other rooms and view the discussions or chat. some room might need permission to join (from the room operator). For more details https://wiki.mozilla.org/IRC
