On this Victory Day, we recall with pride the martyrs and freedom fighters without whom our victory in 1971 would not have been achieved.

Their courage, resilience and love for country continue to inspire us to work with integrity, unity and responsibility.

On the occasion of this day of remembrance, the Ichchey Foundation takes the opportunity to pay homage to the intellectuals who were brutally martyred on 14 December 1971. The country had, in effect, been deprived of its educators, doctors, writers, journalists, and thinkers—the minds that brought life to society—during the darkest hours before victory.

The sacrifice made by these individuals is a reminder of the strength of knowledge, humanity, and responsibility in creating a better Bangladesh.

We remember with respect.
The ideals they stand for continue to inspire our work and our hopes for the future.

" Child Protection Learning Hub "

On 13 September, KaathPencil, Breaking The Silence & Ichchey Foundation came together to host the Child Protection Learning Hub, engaging nearly 40 participants both online and offline.

This platform created an opportunity to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and discuss practical approaches to child safeguarding. Beyond awareness, initiatives like this contribute to building a stronger and more sustainable protection network for the future.

As climate threats intensify, the theme for this year invites governments, industries, and people to shift to zero-waste management and afforestation activities. আজ ১৫ মে,২০২৫ এ পরিবেশ, বন ও জলবায়ু পরিবর্তন মন্ত্রণালয় আগ্রাসী প্রজাতির ইউক্যালিপটাস এবং আকাশমনি গাছের চারা রোপণ, উত্তোলন ও বিক্রয় নিষিদ্ধ করা করেছে।

আশাকরি সকলে এই নীতিমালা বাস্তবায়নে সহযোগিতা করবেন।

ঈদ পরবর্তী আয়োজন। তরুনদের অংশগ্রহণ ও উৎসাহ আমাদের আনন্দিত করে।

অংশগ্রহণকারীরা প্রচুর পরিমাণে ব্যবহৃত প্লাস্টিক সামগ্রী জমা দিয়েছেন, যার মধ্যে উল্লেখযোগ্য ছিল পানির বোতল, দুধের বোতল, পাইপ, খেলনা ও বিভিন্ন গৃহস্থালি পণ্য।

বিনিময়ে বেশ কয়েকশ’ গাছের চারা বিতরণ করা হয়েছে, যা ভবিষ্যতে ফেনী শহরকে আরও সবুজ ও পরিবেশবান্ধব করতে সাহায্য করবে।

ইভেন্টে প্লাস্টিক পুনর্ব্যবহার ও রিসাইক্লিং প্রক্রিয়া সম্পর্কে সচেতনতামূলক আলোচনা করা হয়, যা অংশগ্রহণকারীদের প্লাস্টিক ব্যবহারে দায়িত্বশীল হতে উদ্বুদ্ধ করেছে। এতে তরুণদের মধ্যে ব্যাপকভাবে উৎসাহ দেখা যায়।

সংগৃহীত প্লাস্টিকের পরবর্তী ব্যবহার:

এই কর্মসূচির মাধ্যমে সংগৃহীত প্লাস্টিক পুনর্ব্যবহারের জন্য বিভিন্ন ধাপে প্রক্রিয়াকরণ করা হবে। প্রথমে প্লাস্টিক বর্জ্য বাছাই ও পরিশোধন করা হবে, পরে বিশেষ যন্ত্রের সাহায্যে টুকরো করে ধুয়ে শুকিয়ে প্লাস্টিক দানায় রূপান্তর করা হবে। পরবর্তীতে এই দানা থেকে নতুন পরিবেশবান্ধব পণ্য উৎপাদন করা হবে।

এই উদ্যোগ পরিবেশের ভারসাম্য রক্ষার পাশাপাশি, প্লাস্টিক দূষণ কমানো এবং অধিক পরিমাণে গাছ লাগানোর মাধ্যমে সবুজায়নের লক্ষ্যে এক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পদক্ষেপ হিসেবে গণ্য করা হচ্ছে।

উদ্যোক্তাদের আশা সবাইকে ভবিষ্যতে এ ধরনের কার্যক্রমে অংশগ্রহণের মাধ্যমে পরিবেশ রক্ষায় সক্রিয় ভূমিকা রাখার আহ্বান জানায়।
