On January 7, 2025, the "Comprehensive Eye Care for Garment Workers - Assessing the Impact on Productivity" dissemination workshop, funded by Helen’s Fund, brought together government, private sector, and NGO leaders. This collaborative project by Helen Keller Intl, BGMEA, KHEA Foundation, and OSB has reached 15 factories, improving workers' eye health, confidence, and productivity. Key recommendations include duty-free eyeglasses, scaling up the model, and robust awareness initiatives. Together, we strive for healthier workers and stronger communities!

দেশ স্বাধীনের পর পাঁচ দশকে বাংলাদেশের সবচেয়ে সফল শিল্প খাত হচ্ছে তৈরি পোশাক। বর্তমানে মোট রপ্তানির ৮০ শতাংশের বেশি এই খাতটি থেকেই আসে। ২০২২-২৩ অর্থবছরের জুলাই-জানুয়ারিতে ইইউ-তে পোশাক রপ্তানি বেড়েছে ১৫.০৪%। আর এই সাফল্য এসেছে আমাদের গার্মেন্টস কর্মীদের হাত ধরেই। তাই অর্থনীতির এই প্রধান চালিকার কর্মীদের নিয়েও আমাদের ভাবতে হবে। তাদের সুস্বাস্থ্য, চিকিৎসা ও সুন্দর ভবিষ্যৎ আমদের নিশ্চিত করতে হবে, আর সেই লক্ষ্যেই আমরা কাজ করে যাচ্ছি প্রতিনিয়ত।

One of our recent projects focused on providing non-formal education to underprivileged indigenous children in Bangladesh. Our goal was to build a strong foundation for these children before they pursue formal education. Our non-formal education program included lessons on social norms, behavior, manners, and etiquette. Through our work, we hope to break the cycle of poverty and deprivation that many indigenous communities face and build a brighter future for these children and their families.
