The Health Protection Foundation, in collaboration with UNICEF, the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of Bangladesh, continues to work towards strengthening immunization activities across the country. The program was jointly organized by UNICEF and the Health Protection Foundation to raise awareness about the importance of vaccination. KaathPencil attended the event as youth representatives and actively participated in discussions on the significance of immunization. We highlighted the importance of vaccines in reducing child mortality, particularly in preventing deaths caused by measles outbreaks. We also discussed the role of EPI in modernizing immunization services, including advancements in app development for better vaccine delivery and tracking.

Additionally, we addressed the role of young people in combating misinformation and propaganda related to vaccines. We shared ideas on how to engage and motivate youth to promote immunization within their communities. Furthermore, we discussed the WHO initiative focusing on “zero-dose children” and emphasized the importance of reaching those who have not received any vaccines.

The event was attended by distinguished members from WHO and UNICEF, along with youth representatives and school students, making it a meaningful platform for collaboration and awareness-building.
