Doridro Charity Foundation was founded by Mahbubur Rahman Shahin, who had a dream to do something good for his motherland, Bangladesh. He used to donate money to helpless people he saw on the road or railway station, no matter how much, without thinking of himself. He became popular at his university, AIUB, and with teachers after arranging an excursion/education tour at Kaptai hydroelectric power
station, which no one had arranged before. His confidence level increased, and he met the secretary of a volunteer organization named HELP, who invited him to attend an Iftar party with the slums of Kamlapur Railway station. At that moment, he ran from Kishoreganj to serve the slum people. He met some early teenager volunteers from AHOBAN Youth Charity Foundation at the station and joined them as a volunteer. He then thought about mass people for which he could do something better by his own effort. He thought to organize a unique group and jump into that dream. He shared his view with his friends and founded a group named Doridro Charity Foundation on 21st September 2011. The first committee was announced on 28th October 2011, in which Mahbubur Rahman Shahin became President, Shanto Syeed became Vice President, Khaled Masrur Manan became Secretary, and Ashraf Uddin Tuhin became the Treasurer of that group. On the same day, they decided to donate winter clothes and comforters to poor people at Nilphamari. Doridro Charity Foundation’s vision is to create a better life for the underprivileged human of our nation by reducing poverty through technical education, ability development, and empowerment. Our focus on providing support to people to make them self-reliant. Our goal is to guide them to climb up the ladder of success in life by promoting technical education. We hope that these education will be an opportunity for them to get better jobs or earning scopes. We think that just giving money to people who are poor or suffering doesn't help them for a long time. It's like getting a little bit of happiness on a cloudy day. We don't want to give people just a quick smile for a day. Instead, we want to help people believe in themselves and their abilities to achieve their goals. We believe that if a person believes in themselves, then good things will happen to them. The main goal of DCF is to help people have this kind of confidence in themselves. We are working continuously to create a better life for people who need it by teaching them new skills and helping them feel more empowered. This will help to reduce poverty.
