Our Story
With the rising popularity of social media we have gained access to the opinions, ideas, and thoughts of millions of people around the world. Thankfully for humanity, some of those people use it to advocate for free speech, human rights, equality and various social issues. We believe these people are the prime example that, through social media, a whole new world of possibilities have opened for people where they can now engage in debates, discourse and productive discussions to solve certain social issues and bring them to light. To take that notion a bit further, we here at YES Alumni Bangladesh, have come up with “Voice for Change” supported by the United States Department of State's Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs. This is a platform for people from every corner of Bangladesh to participate in an inclusive discourse, which will let them share their views on any and all problems and issues they feel passionate about, and to speak out for what is right. Voice for Change aims to fuel the notion that words can make great impact in the world and show how we, regular people from all walks of life can come together to create a ripple of change in our lives and the lives of the people around us.
