The NDUB Debating Club and NDUB English Club successfully hosted their collaborative event titled “DebateVerse: MUN Meets Parliamentary Debate” on November 4, 2025, at the NDUB Auditorium.
This remarkable event brought together two dynamic formats Model United Nations (MUN) and Parliamentary Debate in an innovative fusion designed to promote critical thinking, persuasive communication, and intellectual collaboration among students. Participants had the opportunity to experience the structured diplomacy of MUN alongside the vibrant spontaneity of Parliamentary debate.
The programme was graced by the presence of Dr. Fr. Charles B. Gordon, CSC, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of NDUB, and Dr. Fr. Subash Adam Pereira, CSC, Treasurer and Associate Professor, as distinguished guests. Both shared inspiring remarks, commending the initiative for nurturing dialogue, teamwork, and leadership among students. They also emphasized the value of hosting such collaborative events to encourage analytical reasoning and a culture of intellectual curiosity on campus.
The event also featured Prithwi Agnes Rozario as the keynote speaker and facilitator of the MUN session, where participants engaged in thought-provoking discussions on diplomacy, negotiation, and global issues.
In addition to the debate sessions, the programme included an impromptu speech competition, a photography exhibition, and a prize-giving ceremony, making the event an engaging and enriching experience for all attendees.
