As part of the 16 Days of Activism, Zonta Club of Dhaka III strengthened its visibility and advocacy by displaying a banner in front of Gulshan Police Station, highlighting this year’s global theme:
“Unite to End Digital Violence Against Women and Girls” written in Bangla to reach the wider community.

The Officer-in-Charge of Gulshan Police Station was exceptionally kind and cooperative, warmly supporting the initiative and noting that it was “all for a good cause.”

Our bond with the Gulshan Police began on Rose Day last year, when they became true Zonta friends. Since then, this friendship has only grown stronger. A wall clock gifted by Zonta Club of Dhaka III on Rose Day still hangs proudly in the OC’s office ,a small reminder of our shared commitment to community service.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the OC and the entire Gulshan Police team for their continued support and goodwill.

Zonta Club of Dhaka III proudly joined Zonta Clubs around the world in amplifying the call to End Violence Against Women and Girls from 25 November to 10 December, culminating on Human Rights Day. This movement is not just a women’s rights issue ,it is a human rights issue.

Our event, held at the Gulshan Women’s Community Club beside Shahabuddin Park, began with a vibrant Orange Rally. Members marched with powerful placards and banners carrying messages such as “Stop Violence Against Women”, “No to Early Marriage”, “Women’s Rights are Human Rights”, and “Unite to End Cyberbullying”.

After the rally, we screened a thoughtful short film created by ZEE and Youth Club members, reflecting young minds’ perspectives on violence against women. This initiative was guided by ZEE & Youth Club District Chair, Ms. Nasreen Khan Anni.

The programme continued with impactful video messages from ZEE Youth, followed by insightful presentations by
Barrister Tasnuva Shelley, Deputy Attorney General, and
Ms. Munaiza Snigdha Moon, Founder of NGO Survivors.

They shed light on the growing challenge of cyberbullying, where instead of being empowered online, millions of women face harassment and digital abuse.

To conclude the day, our President and members celebrated Zonta’s 106th Anniversary with a cake-cutting ceremony, an inspiring reminder of Zonta’s long-standing commitment to advancing the status of women worldwide.

Together, we stand united for a safer, more equitable world.

Zonta District 25 – 18th Biennial Conference
Area I & II | Hotel Renaissance, Gulshan, Dhaka

We’ve just concluded a truly enriching three-day conference filled with shared purpose, friendship, and the collective spirit of Zontians from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal led by Governor
Ztn. Dr. Zareen Delawar Hussain,
Zonta International District 25 . Although our sisters from India could not attend due to unavoidable circumstances, their presence was felt throughout the sessions.

We were honoured to welcome our International Representative, Ztn. Philips Jacob’s Lory, who joined us all the way from New Zealand—her guidance was deeply inspiring. We were equally moved by the powerful words of Ztn. Dilruba Ahmad, whose speech filled us with motivation and strength.

One of the most memorable highlights was the performance and participation of our Zee and Youth Club, the bright future of Zonta. Under the dedicated leadership of Ztn. Nasreen Khan Anni, District Zee & Youth Chair, their panel discussion moderated by Dr. Rubina Hussain and their remarkable Malala Dance marked a historic first for District 25.

We were delighted to witness the induction of our newest club, Zonta Club of Sonargaon. The new President, Ztn Lazina Mona, impressed everyone with her vision and leadership—surely a promising beginning.

The memorial segment and the interactive Q&A session left a deep impact on all participants. The conference also buzzed with energy at the vibrant marketplace, where members showcased their creativity. Our Nepali and Sri Lankan delegates especially enjoyed exploring the beautiful displays.

Heartfelt gratitude to Conference Chair Ztn. Sonia Panni, Co-Chair Ztn. Farahnaz Qaiyum, all Conference Committee Chairs and Co-Chairs, Ztn. Tootli Rahman and her talented performers, the Zee and Youth teams, and every member whose presence and effort made this conference a resounding success.

Here’s to sisterhood, service, and a stronger Zonta District 25.
