International Day of the Girl Child Celebration at SBK - 11th October 2026 !!

On 11th October 2026, Zonta Club of Dhaka III celebrated International Day of the Girl Child at Shishu Bikash Kendra (SBK) with love, hope, and inspiration.

Our SBK students delivered the most beautiful speeches, one after another. Each child shared a powerful message about what they want to be in the future and how they want to stop early child marriage. Their words were full of courage and dreams.

The students touched all our hearts with their mesmerizing dance, soulful flute performance, and sweet songs. It felt like they have truly learned to move forward in life alongside their studies, balancing education with creativity and confidence.

Our Club's Director and UN Chair, Ztn. Khadiza Afzal, and Director & Leadership Chair, Ztn. Dr. Rubina Husain, delivered very significant and inspiring speeches for the children, guiding them toward a brighter future.

Our President, Ztn. Nasreen Khan, and Past Governor & Service Chair Ztn. Fahmida Karim , Co- chair Ztn. Sabrina Siddique, along with other club members, concluded the program by distributing varieties of drawing books, colour pencils, crayons, and yummy food among the children.

For a few hours, we all felt like we had become little children again.

The children of this Shishu Bikash Kendra school are not only studying but also learning to build their future through various activities, and we strongly believe they will also stand up to stop early child marriage.

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD

“Invest in Girls’ Rights: Our Leadership, Our Well-being”

Zonta Club of Dhaka III, in collaboration with its Z & Youth club members, organized a meaningful International Day of the Girl Child programme at White Canary Cafe bringing together young girls amd boys frim Z and Gorlden Zee clubsfor an afternoon of learning, creativity, confidence, and inspiration.

The programme focused on empowering girls to recognize their worth, believe in their abilities, express themselves fearlessly, and dream without limitations. Through interactive activities and inspiring conversations, the girls were encouraged to understand that their voices matter and that they have the power to shape their own future.

We were honoured by the presence of IPDG Dr. Zareen Delawar, whose words of encouragement and support inspired the young participants. Successful women were also celebrated as role models, reminding the girls that with education, courage, determination, and the right opportunities, every girl can rise and lead.

The programme was not only a celebration of girls—it was a reminder of our collective responsibility to create a world where every girl is safe, respected, educated, confident, and free to dream.

On October 1st , Zonta Club of Dhaka III signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bhorosha Institute to implement one of its flagship projects, “Skills for Life – Path to Independence."

The primary goal of this initiative is to empower women and youth through practical skills training, education, and awareness programs. The aim is to help them become self-reliant so they can build a brighter future for themselves and for society.

Three students are enrolled for the October session of whom 2 girls graduated from SBK ( SHISHU BIKASH KENDRA)program . 1 girl and 1 boy enrolled for f&b ( food & beverage) and 1 girl for computer training.

THIRD GENERAL MEETING
ZONTA CLUB OF DHAKA III

Zonta Club of Dhaka III successfully held its 3rd General Meeting on Saturday, 26 September 2026, at Turkish Bazaar & Restaurant, Banani.

The meeting was presided over by President Nasreen Khan Anni and was an inspiring afternoon filled with meaningful discussions, impactful collaboration, fellowship, and exciting new beginnings.

🌸 A Landmark Collaboration for Women’s Health

We are delighted to announce a special collaboration with Praram 9 Hospital, Bangkok, one of Thailand’s leading hospitals.

In keeping with Zonta’s commitment to promoting women’s health and well-being, Praram 9 Hospital will host a Health Awareness Workshop in collaboration with Zonta Club of Dhaka III, focusing on two important health concerns:

Zonta Club of Dhaka III Holds Fruitful Board Meeting

Zonta Club of Dhaka III held a very fruitful Board Meeting today, 22nd February, at the gracious residence of our beloved Past Governor, Ztn. Fahmida Karim.

Many important issues were discussed in a very warm and constructive atmosphere.

The meeting was attended by our Club President, Vice President, Board Members and dignitaries. Their valuable presence and thoughtful contributions made the meeting truly meaningful and successful.

A delicious dinner was hosted by our President Ztn. Nasreen Khan and Past Governor Ztn. Fahmida Karim.

We sincerely thank our wonderful hostesses for their warm hospitality and to all members for making the evening so productive and enjoyable.

Build a Better World for Women and Girls

Today, Zonta Club of Dhaka Bangladesh III conducted a learning session for the students of Shishu Bikash Kendra School.

The students were taught about the Earth’s rotation and revolution through a practical demonstration and detailed discussion. By experiencing how the sun and the Earth create the play of light and darkness, day and night, the students were truly delighted and gained a clear understanding of the concept.

This activity aimed to spark curiosity and encourage scientific learning among young girls, aligning with Zonta’s commitment to education and empowerment 🌍✨

INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY WAS CELEBRATED AT SHISHU BIKASH KENDRA SCHOOL RUN BY ZONTA CLUB OF DHAKA III, BANGLADESH.
8TH SEPTEMBER IS OBSERVED AS INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY.
THIS YEAR'S THEME FOR INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY IS:

‘LITERACY FOR PEOPLE, PLANET AND PROSPERITY.’

THE CHILDREN LEARNED ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF LITERACY DAY THROUGH DRAWING PICTURES.
ALSO, THE IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION AND LITERACY WAS HIGHLIGHTED THROUGH VARIOUS INFORMATIVE DISCUSSIONS.
AFTER THE DRAWING SESSION, PENCIL BAGS WERE GIVEN AS GIFTS TO EVERYONE !!
