As we near the conclusion of our Bridging the Gender Gap project, we are sharing a few moments from our final consultation in Khulna, where diverse stakeholders came together under one roof, including coastal women who are on the frontlines of the climate crisis. They courageously shared their lived experiences, the challenges they face, and their perspectives on building more inclusive and effective climate solutions. Their voices reminded us that indigenous knowledge and local expertise must be at the heart of climate action and policy implementation.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to āĻŦāĻšā§āύāĻŋāĻļāĻŋāĻ–āĻž Bonhishikha - unlearn gender , SheRAA Women's Climate Resilience and Adaptation Alliance, our local partner āĻĒā§āϰāĻžāĻ¨ā§āϤāϜ and Greenman , and everyone who contributed their time, knowledge, and commitment to making this project possible. Together, we have taken another step towards ensuring that women and structurally excluded communities are meaningfully represented in Bangladesh’s climate future.

With support from āĻŦāĻšā§āύāĻŋāĻļāĻŋāĻ–āĻž Bonhishikha - unlearn gender and SheRAA Women's Climate Resilience and Adaptation Alliance and in partnership with Greenman and āĻĒā§āϰāĻžāĻ¨ā§āϤāϜ , Youth for NDCs successfully conducted a Bridging Consultation on Finding Real Solutions to the Gender Gap in Khulna under the Bridging the Gender Gap project.

The consultation brought together household women and community members to share their lived experiences of climate change and environmental disasters. Beyond identifying challenges, the consultation encouraged participants to share practical, community led solutions and recommendations. These insights will help strengthen the evidence needed to advocate for climate policies and adaptation strategies that are more gender responsive, inclusive, and grounded in local realities.

Every conversation brings us one step closer to building climate solutions that truly reflect the voices and needs of the communities they are meant to serve.
