House of Volunteers, Dhaka University (HoV,DU) HOV-DU is volunteer organization conducted by students of Dhaka University. Projects: The major projects of HOV BD are as follow -

House of Volunteers Dhaka University - HOV DU is volunteer organization conducted by students of Dhaka University. This is a local chapter of House of Volunteers Bangladesh - HOV BD which is registered a non-profit volunteer organization in Bangladesh. The stage was set at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for students and professionals from all backgrounds and different institutes t

o be involved in devising innovative solutions for improving the quality of education in underdeveloped communities. โ€œLow cost High impact Sustainable solutionโ€ is the theme of the organization. Open Source Computer Education Program (OSCEP):
This program promotes computer and computer based education at primary and secondary level for the underprivileged communities of Bangladesh.

2. Book Drive - Books for Bangladesh:
Under this program both new and used academic books and journals from foreign universities are collected and distributed among the academic institutions of Bangladesh.

3. Earthquake Awareness Campaign (EAP):
Creating awareness on preparedness of Earthquake among school going students, primarily focuses institutes located to the most vulnerable area of Old Dhaka.

4. Stockholm Junior Water Prize (SJWP): As National Organizer launched Stockholm Junior Water Prize in Bangladesh in 2015. Now preparing for SJWP 2017. Volunteer Development: HOV has volunteer development programs like Orientation Program, Skill Shop for its own volunteers. Also going to launch Career counselling, mentoring program & Leadership Development program in 2017. Sponsors & Partners: Chevron Bangladesh (OSCEP), The EMK Center (EAP), MacEwan University Canada (OSCEP), WaterAid Bangladesh (SJWP).

The House of Volunteers Foundation (HOV) successfully organized the Orientation Program for the newly recruited volunteers of 2026 along with an Iftar Mahfil on 07 March 2026 at Kasundi Restora Ltd., Dhanmondi.

The program served as a meaningful platform to warmly welcome the new members to the HOV family and introduce them to the vision, mission, and values of the organization. Through engaging discussions, introductions, and shared experiences, the session highlighted the spirit of volunteerism and the collective commitment to creating positive social impact.

The event concluded with a warm and joyful Iftar gathering, fostering stronger connections among volunteers and strengthening the sense of community within the organization.

House of Volunteers extends heartfelt appreciation to everyone who attended and contributed to making the program successful. We look forward to an inspiring journey ahead with our passionate volunteers as we continue working together for a better society.
