Notre Dame Outward Bound Adventure Club This is the official page of 'NDOBAC'- Notre Dame Outward Bound Adventure Club. Notre Dame Outward Bound Adventure Club is abbreviated to 'OBAC'.

The very name of the club explains that it tends to augment the physical, mental and ethical development as well as initiate the versatile ambitions of a person. This club was established on 11 October 1966 with inspirations from Fr. Richard William Timm, CSC (Magsaysay award winner, 1987) in order to ensure this sort of facultative enhancement including instigation of outgoing curiosity into the personality of the students. The principal aim of the club is to awaken the inquisitive mind and soul of a student and to recognize their social obligations through knowing the unknown and grasping the unfamiliar.

On Wednesday, 14 October, the Notre Dame Outward Bound Adventure Club held its first indoor segment, Survival Saga, for Batch 28.

Every journey has its turning points, where a single decision can change the course of everything that follows. In Survival Saga, each answer opened the door to the next question, with no erasing or second chances. The excitement grew with each question, and a few surprising choices had the whole room reacting.

Congratulations to everyone from Batch 28 who took part, and thank you to everyone who made this first indoor segment possible.

দুর্গা মানে মাতৃশক্তির মহিমা, আঁধার পেরিয়ে আলোর আবাহন;
দুর্গা মানে করুণা ও দৃঢ়তার সমন্বয়, মঙ্গলের জাগরণ।

শরতের নির্মল আকাশ, কাশফুলের দোল আর শিউলির সুবাসে প্রকৃতি সেজে ওঠে দুর্গোৎসবের সাজে। ঢাকের ধ্বনি ও আগমনী সুরে চারদিকে ছড়িয়ে পড়ে উৎসব, ঐতিহ্য ও মিলনের আবহ।

মহিষাসুরবধের কাহিনি কেবল দেবতা ও অসুরের যুদ্ধ নয়, মানুষের জীবনেরও এক চিরন্তন প্রতিচ্ছবি। অন্যায়, লোভ ও অহংকারের বিরুদ্ধে দাঁড়ানো এবং নিজেদের দুর্বলতা জয় করার মধ্যেই নিহিত রয়েছে দেবী দুর্গার বিজয়ের প্রকৃত তাৎপর্য। তাঁর সাহস, শক্তি ও মমতার চেতনা আমাদের সত্য ও ন্যায়ের পথে অবিচল থাকতে এবং দৈনন্দিন জীবনে মানবিকতার চর্চা করতে অনুপ্রাণিত করে।

On Wednesday, 30 September, at 12 PM, Notre Dame Outward Bound Adventure Club held its first meeting with the newest batch, Batch 28. Juniors and seniors gathered for introductions, marking the beginning of their journey with the Outward Bound family.

Our respected moderator and senior members shared their experiences and words of encouragement, giving the new juniors a glimpse into the values, activities, and spirit of our club.

From 7–9 May, the Notre Dame Outward Bound Adventure Club set out for Bandarban, where every trail led to a new adventure and every moment became a memory worth keeping.

Our journey took us through Mirinja Valley, Alir Cave, Toma-Tongi, Dim Hill, Maya Lake, and Maraitong Valley. We were privileged to have our beloved club moderator, Mohammod Naymur Rahman Sir, alongside us, while the participation of our club seniors fostered invaluable mentorship and cross-batch bonding.

Beyond the hills and valleys, this journey brought us closer together through shared challenges, laughter, and discovery. More than just a getaway, it was a meaningful experience of friendship, teamwork, and memories that will remain with the club for years to come.

Eid-ul-Adha stands as a sacred celebration of sacrifice, devotion, and magnanimity for the Muslim Ummah. This blessed occasion immortalizes the unparalleled example of Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.)—his unwavering obedience and boundless love for Allah. Through Qurbani, believers do not merely sacrifice an animal; they symbolically surrender their inner arrogance, greed, and selfish desires. Thus, Eid-ul-Adha transcends the boundaries of festivity and emerges as a profound manifestation of spiritual purification, humility, and humanity.

This holy festival is not confined solely to joyous celebrations; rather, it awakens within hearts the pure essence of compassion, solidarity, and selflessness.
