ective of establishment & promotion of fundamental human rights of the disadvantaged & marginalized segments of the populace – children, women & men through alleviation of poverty, empowerment and mainstreaming them in the development process of the country. In course of its functioning for a quarter of a decade, UDDIPAN has been capable of transforming it into a non-profit national development organization with its multifarious activities tangible everywhere in its working areas spread over 162 upazilas of 36 districts. It focuses and emphasizes on participations & involvement of children, women & men irrespective of class, culture or creed in its development ventures encompassing national priority sectors like micro credit- cm poverty alleviation, women’s empowerment, child development etc. It is an active member of many important national & international forums & networks and is activity involved in & contributive to advocacy & lobbying to establish & uphold Human rights & good governance at the national vis-à-vis international level at large. With the considerately long experiences of 28 years of working with & learning from the people, the organization has been capable of developing its approach & strategy in development that reflects peoples perception, need, participation & leaderships for desired changes in livelihood, governance & potentials for growth & prosperity. As one of the major conspicuous NGO, UDDIPAN conjuncts with other such organizations working in the country and works together in the event of national crisis and need (like natural calamities). It also offers and organizes technical & training services on CRC, anti-trafficking, Business development services CBDS) , micro-finance, child development etc having facilities & logistics at the national & regional levels thereon. Upto June 2012 UDDIPAN has been able to spread its program to 162 Upazilas of 36 Districts. Its Coverage includes 2,009,880 beneficiaries of the targeted families in 6329 villages spread over 1067 unions of 162 Upazilas. Upto June 2012 UDDIPAN has a team of 2842 staff members of which 849 are female and 1993 are male
