East West University Sociology Club successfully organized the Menstrual Hygiene and Health Awareness Campaign for the women and adolescent girls of the Bede community on 21 July 2026, as part of Awareness Raising Month.

The campaign aimed to promote menstrual hygiene, encourage safe reproductive health practices, and foster open discussions to address the social stigma surrounding menstruation.

The program featured interactive awareness sessions, practical demonstrations on the proper use and safe disposal of sanitary pads, an open question-and-answer session, and the distribution of informational leaflets to support continued awareness within the community.

Through initiatives like this, the East West University Sociology Club remains committed to advancing community engagement, health awareness, and social responsibility.

A respectful campus is built on dignity, consent, mutual respect, and accountability. Through this episode, SCEWU highlights the importance of recognizing inappropriate behavior, respecting personal boundaries, supporting those affected, and speaking up against sexual harassment.
