OBJECTIVE
The objective of the Association is to provide a forum of communication so that the experience, knowledge and industry best practices in the fields of Information Technology (IT) management can be exchanged for the benefit of members and contribution to the nation by effective and productive utilization of IT in Bangladesh. Specific objectives of the association shall be to:
* Provide members with a meeting ground to exchange ideas, information and to encourage sharing of experience and technical know-how.
* Enlighten members on the current issues and challenges of IT in deploying new and leading edge technologies.
* Build leadership quality among members to facilitate their individual sector.
* Publish newsletters, technical papers so that members stay up to date with current advances in IT.
* Hold seminars, workshops, discussion forums, lectures etc. on subjects related to IT management.
* Socialize and build professional network.
* Affiliate with other professional bodies so that the foregoing objectives can be better met.
* Building a professional database to response any national purpose. ACTIVITIES AND OPERATIONAL DETAILS
a.Workshops & Tutorial: We will be having two to three workshops on technology and business topic. Some tutorial will be there from members, experts or vendors. Topic will be selected by “Program Committee”. b.Publication: The organization will take initiative to publish irregular technical/business menagerie. MEMBERSHIP DETAILS
a.Membership Eligibility: Individual or a team member to provide IT Infrastructure or service to any organization. b.Membership Application: Eligible individuals will apply for membership through email to president and secretary EC committee. The application form needs to be attached with the email (application form will be available within membership section of ITMAB website). c.Membership Approval: Approval will be given through email. An email membership confirmation from president/secretary and/or approval for email posting to “ITMAP” mailing list will be considered as membership approval. d.Membership Identification: All approved members will be published in website within a week from the confirmation of membership. COMMITTEE
a.Number of Committee: Initially an executive will be elected by members. The executive committee can make/eliminate other committees like “Program Core Committee” and “Program Committee” on demand. b.Committee Election: i.Committee election will be held by email/web based voting. Election will be held by one year interval. ii.The committee can be re-elected anytime of the year, if more than 50% of the members are not happy with the committee. In such case someone from the member will initiative the vote and other members will support. c.Committee Responsibilities:i.Executive Committee: Executive is a committee for running the organization. This committee is the ultimate decision maker for operation of the organization. ii.Other Committee: Other committee will be responsible for their given responsibilities. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
