13th Hussars Open Rover Scout Group 13th Hussars Open Rover Scout Group is an open rover scout group for youth aged 17-25. But their youth spirit made it possible.

In the year 2004, a set of young leaders and scouts who had just completed their boy scout program and were waiting to join a rover group expressed their desire to form their own rover group so that they could continue contributing to the world scouting movement together and pursue new activities of their own choosing. In July of 2004, the 13th Hussars Open Rover Scout Group, bearing the name of t

he Cavalry that Lord Baden Powell, The founder of scouting Himself was part of, was created with the goal of being more involved with the movement and explore new possibilities. For the novices, forming an open group for rovering and attracting additional young people to join the group was a hard boat to row. And down the years, 13th Hussars has become a reliable, resilient and exceptional name in the Scouting Space of Bangladesh and all of Asia-Pacific Region. Now the organization is fixated on attracting not only experienced scouts with proficiency and willpower but also newcomers with the urge to answer humanity's call by devoting themselves to the Scouting Movement. This page is the centrefold of 13th Hussars which allows anyone irrespective of the fact he/she is a scout or not, to experience the wide range of accomplishments and activities 13th Hussars is involved in. All our Family Members, Well Wishers and every human being including general people not involved in scouting/rover scouting, are welcome to interact via this page.

From learning to achievement — a journey of dedication and teamwork.

The Skill Course 2026, organized by Bangladesh Scouts Rover Region, commenced on 28 February 2026 at Tejgaon College, with several specialized courses conducted across different venues including University of Dhaka.

Rovers of 13th Hussars Open Rover Scout Group actively took part in the training and proudly secured a position in the Crime Prevention Course, reflecting their commitment to leadership, service, and community safety.

The inspiring journey concluded on 6 March 2026 with a Certificate Awarding Ceremony and Iftar Mahfil held at Azimpur Government Girls School and College — a memorable evening celebrating achievement, brotherhood, and the spirit of Rovering.

The Badge Evaluation session focused on assessing practical skills, Scouting knowledge, discipline, and leadership qualities, ensuring each Scout meets the true standard of excellence. It was not just an examination, but a step toward becoming more confident, responsible, and prepared individuals.

Following the evaluation, the Iftar Mahfil created a beautiful atmosphere of unity and brotherhood. Sharing Iftar together strengthened our bond as Scouts, reminding us that Scouting is not only about training — it is about family, respect, and togetherness.
