মালয়েশিয়ায় যেতে আগ্রহী বাংলাদেশি কর্মীরা এখনও মেডিকেল পরীক্ষা কবে শুরু হবে, অভিবাসন ব্যয় কত হবে এবং কবে তারা মালয়েশিয়া যেতে পারবেন—এসব বিষয়ে স্পষ্ট তথ্যের অপেক্ষায় রয়েছেন। নিয়োগ প্রক্রিয়ার বাকি ধাপগুলো দ্রুত সম্পন্ন করে কর্মীদের পরিষ্কার তথ্য দেওয়ার দাবি জানিয়েছে রিক্রুটিং এজেন্সিগুলো।
সরকারের পক্ষ থেকে BOESL-এর মাধ্যমে ১০,০০০ বাংলাদেশি কর্মীকে অভিবাসন ব্যয় ছাড়াই মালয়েশিয়ায় নিয়োগের বিষয়ে নীতিগত সম্মতি পাওয়ার কথা জানানো হলেও, এখনও তাদের যাত্রার নির্দিষ্ট তারিখ ঘোষণা করা হয়নি।

Bangladeshi workers planning to migrate to Malaysia are still waiting for clear information on when medical tests will begin, the final migration cost, and when they can depart. Recruiting agencies have urged the government to complete the remaining recruitment procedures and provide clear instructions.
The current arrangement involves 25 principal recruiting agencies, 312 associate agencies and BOESL, while disagreements among recruiting agencies over the process continue. The government has also announced that Malaysia has agreed in principle to recruit 10,000 Bangladeshi workers without migration costs through BOESL, but no departure date has been announced yet.

at our regional office in Savar, a Upazila-Based Planning Meeting of the Returnee Women Migrant Workers’ Forum today in Savar.
The meeting brought together returnee women migrant workers to discuss their experiences, priorities, and future plans for strengthening the Forum at the upazila level. The discussion focused on strengthening networking, collective participation, access to available services, and ensuring that the voices and needs of returnee women workers are reflected in future initiatives.

Together, we continue to strengthen the platform for returnee women migrant workers and promote their rights, dignity, and meaningful participation.

Highlights of Monthly Safe Migration Forum Meeting
The meeting focused on strengthening the Female Migrant Workers Forum’s networking and outreach, ensuring migrant workers are connected to available government services and support. Discussions also emphasized reaching beyond forum members to connect other migrant and returnee workers in the community with the services and assistance they are entitled to.

মাসিক নিরাপদ অভিবাসন ফোরাম সভার মূল বিষয়সমূহ
সভায় নারী অভিবাসী শ্রমিকদের ফোরামের নেটওয়ার্কিং ও কার্যক্রম আরও শক্তিশালী করার পাশাপাশি অভিবাসী শ্রমিকদের সরকারি বিভিন্ন সেবা ও সহায়তার সঙ্গে যুক্ত করার বিষয়ে আলোচনা করা হয়। ফোরামের সদস্যদের পাশাপাশি এলাকার অন্যান্য অভিবাসী ও প্রত্যাগত অভিবাসী শ্রমিকদেরও প্রয়োজনীয় সরকারি সেবা ও সহায়তার আওতায় আনার ওপর গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হয়।

মালয়েশিয়ার জোহর রাজ্যে তিনটি কারখানায় অভিযান চালিয়ে ১৫৫ বাংলাদেশিসহ মোট ২৩৪ জন বিদেশি শ্রমিককে আটক করেছে দেশটির অভিবাসন বিভাগ।
মুয়ার ও বাতু পাহাত এলাকায় পরিচালিত এসব অভিযানে আটক শ্রমিকদের বিরুদ্ধে বৈধ কাগজপত্র না থাকা, ভিসার মেয়াদ শেষ হওয়ার পরও অবস্থান এবং অনুমোদিত পাস/পারমিটের অপব্যবহারের অভিযোগ রয়েছে। আটক ২৩৪ জনের মধ্যে ১৫৫ জন বাংলাদেশি, বাকিরা মিয়ানমার, ভারত, নেপাল, চীন ও পাকিস্তানের নাগরিক। তাদের পরবর্তী আইনি প্রক্রিয়ার জন্য অভিবাসন আটককেন্দ্রে পাঠানো হয়েছে।

Malaysian immigration authorities detained 234 foreign workers, including 155 Bangladeshis, during raids at three factories in Johor.
The workers were detained over allegations of lacking valid immigration or employment documents, overstaying their visas, and misusing authorized passes or permits. The detainees, aged between 20 and 50, have been transferred to immigration detention centres for further investigation and legal proceedings under Malaysia’s Immigration Act 1959.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Migrant Forum in Asia for their collaboration with Bangladesh Nari Sramik Kendra (BNSK) in organizing National Consultation .
The consultation brought together CSOs, returnee migrant workers, trade unions, government representatives, and UN agencies to discuss strengthening access to justice and protection for migrant workers in countries of destination.
We look forward to creating such impacts together in order to ensure justice, dignity and rights for our migrant workers.

Through our regular interactions and financial literacy sessions, we continue to raise awareness among women migrant workers on the importance of saving, maintaining a bank account, managing their earnings, and planning for life after migration.
These sessions aim to help women make informed financial decisions and ensure that their hard-earned income contributes to a more secure and sustainable future.
Our efforts go beyond financial awareness. We strive to ensure that women migrant workers can return to their communities with dignity, confidence, economic security, and respect, and that their labour and sacrifices lead to meaningful opportunities for themselves and their families
