FORUM OF UNDERPRIVILEGED ENTREPRENEURS BANGLADESH or FUEB is a non-profit organization, playing an important role in promoting the agenda of social entrepreneurship in Bangladesh. In September 2010, Mahmuda Habiba, a business entrepreneur from Bangladesh, was invited as a State Guest of the United States of America to participate in an unique IVLP program, titled, “A New Beginning: Entrepreneurshi
p and Business Innovation”. This prestigious program was announced by US President Obama at the Presidential Summit on Entrepreneurship in Cairo, Egypt, June 2009. During this program, she learned a whole new approach towards entrepreneur’s community and the power of social entrepreneurship for the country. Inspired by that extraordinary program, Mahmuda Habiba founded FORUM OF UNDERPRIVILEGED ENTREPRENEURS BANGLADESH or FUEB in 2010. She is the Chairman of the organization. FORUM OF UNDERPRIVILEGED ENTREPRENEURS BANGLADESH or FUEB is a non-profit organization. FUEB is playing an important role in promoting the agenda of social entrepreneurship. FUEB supports entrepreneurs technically to survive and to grow under every difficulty. FUEB strengthens small-sized and medium-sized entrepreneurs-led social enterprises for the spread of social innovation. FUEB is operating mainly in Dhaka and Rajshahi. At present, FUEB has more than 6700 members who created more than 42 thousand jobs in Bangladesh.
