No one really prepares you for this kind of silence… the kind where expectations slowly fade and the version of you that once felt unstoppable starts feeling distant. There was a time when everything made sense goals were clear, dreams felt possible, and the future looked like something to be proud of. But then mental health stepped in quietly, and everything changed without asking for permission.

It’s humbling in a way that’s hard to explain. Watching potential slip through your fingers, not because of laziness or lack of ambition, but because some days just surviving feels like enough. The guilt hits differently… seeing others move forward while you’re trying to just stay afloat. And the hardest part? Knowing what you’re capable of, but not being able to show up as that version anymore.

But maybe this isn’t the end of that story. Maybe it’s just a pause… a different path forming beneath all the confusion. Growth doesn’t always look like achievements and awards sometimes it looks like healing, like choosing to stay, like slowly finding your way back to yourself.

And maybe, just maybe, the version that rises from this will be stronger, softer, and more real than anything imagined before.

Have you ever had to rebuild a version of yourself you thought you already lost?

Eid Mubarak

Amid the celebration of Eid, take a moment to truly connect with your loved ones, pause to feel gratitude for life’s smallest blessings, and give yourself the space to rest, heal and recharge.

It’s hard to talk about mental health even harder when you can’t do it in your own language.

Speaking in our mother tongue brings comfort and safety, making it easier to open up and be heard.

So, what Language do you use to express your emotion?

We are proud to share that our Co-Founder recently joined UNFPA , UNICEF and global partners as a panelist to discuss the path toward ending Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM).
During the session, he highlighted a critical but often overlooked reality: the deep psychological scars carried by the 230 million survivors worldwide. FGM is not just a physical act; it is a trauma that impacts the mental health and emotional well-being of girls and women for a lifetime.
Aligned with this year’s theme—"No end to FGM without sustained commitment and investment"—he emphasized that "investment" must include holistic recovery. We aren't just fighting to end the practice; we are committed to supporting the healing of those who have already endured it.
Together, we must invest in the resources, mental health support, and community care required for true restoration.

Female Ge***al Mutilation is not culture, tradition, or religion.
It is violence against a girl child’s body, mind, and future.

For survivors, the harm does not end with the act.
Many live with lifelong trauma—anxiety, fear, shame and deep emotional pain that often goes unseen and unheard.

Every child deserves safety, dignity, healing, and the right to live without fear.

If you are a survivor of FGM and struggling with your mental health, you are not alone. Reach out to us at Let’s Talk Mental Health -
