Bangladesh is a small ever-green country, gained its independence in 1971, still yet to get the expected development after its independence. We have sufficient natural resources. So development is entirely possible in addition to the proper utilize of the existing men power. For this as a social non-government organization SADCS prov
ides funding and capacity building support to organizations working on human rights. SADCS tries to ensure entitlements of people by building their capacity to demand basic services and raise voice against rights violation and make prosperous. In the arena of social activities, the young’s presence in community service will make them the competent leaders for the future. With a view to create a flock of new leaders who are going to the country in the next time, the non-governmental organization `Shorab Ali Dewan Cultural Society (SADCS)’ has been set up. SADCS is a multidisciplinary non-profitable organization registered with the Government of Bangladesh. SADCS is a non-profit organization whose main focus is on social development. Membership of the Society comprises professional engineers, architects, scientists and others seriously interested in social development, women and youth empowerment. VISION

OBJECTIVES
SADCS has a three-pronged strategic objective:
To sensitize, educate and facilitate all institutions to undertake organized approaches to creating awareness by transferring information, technical knowledge
and skills, and helping them to mobilize resources for the purpose. To build a strong, well resourced and credible institution that will be the national focal
point for eco-social development and women and youth empowerment, a facilitator and coordinator in the network and a source of all available information on the subject. A Short Biography of Shorab Ali Dewan
Shorab Ali Dewan was born in 1941 in Pranimondol village, Munshiganj. He was very interested in education from his childhood. He completed his SSC from Sir Jagodish Chandro Bassu Institution. Then he started his job in Ashuganj Zia Sar karkhana. A lot of young people able to go in abroad for existing by his cordial effort. After a long time he came in homeland. He started his business by `Masum and Brothers’ in Sadarghat. Sowhrab liked organized living from his earlier life. `Masum Grontho Surhid Somity’ was first effort in this stage in 1988. This organization first organized a book fair in jurain which was renownable for first organizing in this remote area in that moment. He introduced a `Pathshala’ for street child`s education. From this innovation thought he first set up a kindergarten school in Pranimondol called `Dipshikha Shisu Niketon’. Then he was able to set up a library known as `Bikrom pur Library’ in this unprivileged area for the promotion of educated people. This educated and enhanced people took his last breath in 10 october 2004. SADCS is run on by his inspiration basically. Registration

The activities of the Society shall be (All the activities will be implemented after obtaining necessary permission from the Govt./Concerned/Competent authority and the object contrary to the provision of section 20 of the Act shall be treated as ineffective):
To be committed to ethical and empathic practice, social and national welfare with versatile ideas, diversity and excellence. To take effective steps for the creation of fund for the Society through various means such as donation, wakf or other kind of financial/ non-financial assistances. To setup, run, operate and maintain health care services such as hospitals, medical/nursing camps, blood donation club and medical colleges and provide modern, cost effective and pro-poor health and medical services to cater the basic need of the people. To undertake program for health awareness such as blood grouping, dental checkup, eye checkup and solved the other physical problems. To make efforts for maintaining and improving the environment through campaign, forestation and plantation programs and any other suitable programs. To make efforts for empowering women through various means. To motivate and train young researchers and intellectuals in research methodology for conducting investigation, survey and development of education, science and technologies. To provide training including vocational, human mobilization, initiation and counseling and for promoting professionalism;
To set up quality educational/ religious/ training institutes such as school, college, university, research and training centers, Masjid, Madrasa, to enhance the efficacy of the traditional education, technology and other activities through these institutes to cater capacity building and professionalism at large;
To motivate, promote, train and organize survey and research activities and organize related conferences, seminars, symposiums and workshops on health, socio-economic welfare and education, science and technologies at national and/ or international level and to publish related papers, books, journals, magazines, articles and other research papers or journals. To take part in various welfare activities during natural calamities or any other humanitarian purposes. To provide financial/ physical or other sort of assistances to the ultra-poor, disadvantaged and socially deprived class of people, students and sick persons. To act as a forum of exchange of opinion, knowledge and experience among young as well as experienced researchers, intellectuals, educationists, policy-makers, professionals, field workers, opinion leaders inside and outside the country as well as leaders and workers of various groups in respect of national, regional and international development;

To organize conference, seminar, symposium and workshop on youth, democracy, new media and so on nationally and internationally. To give stipend to the poor and meritorious unprivileged students. To publish books, magazines, research papers and to promote and organized research works. To foster friendship and fellowship among the members by arranging get-together and reunions. To take effective steps for the creation of fund for the society. To maintain linkage with identical organization in the country and outsides for the exchange of join research project, seminar and workshop including mutual exchange of visits. Publish SADCS Newsletter, memos and other publicity materials and distribute them
With an aim to bring to the knowledge of the members of the society to be empowered. Organize scientific meetings, seminars, training programs etc. Develop international linkages with similar non-governmental agencies for an effective flow of information and serve as a nodal point in the international network,
Work in coordination with other national disaster reduction institutions in the development, upgrading and implementation of natural calamities reduction programs for the country. Raise funds for undertaking various activities for the achievement of the Society's
THE NATURE OF THE SOCIETY:
The Society shall be a social, non-political, profitable voluntary youth organization.
6. SOURCE OF FUNDING:
a) The Society shall have a fund collected from membership fees, training fees, donations, gifts, grants, subscriptions, sale of publications and such other fees, charges and income permissible under the law, ethics and morality. b) The Society may take or receive foreign aids or donations from any person or organization under the provisions of Foreign Donations Act (Voluntary Activities) Regulations, 1978 and such other identical laws, customs and usages. Social service means serving people who are of no personal utility to us. In Bangladesh where the poor and underprivileged are so many, social service has a great importance, and a very large scope too. voluntary sector is an important part of today's economy and has an important role to play in the nation's life:

Chronic poverty, gender disparities and lack of awareness keep the majority of children in Bangladesh out of school. The quality of education is also marred by low completion rates and a shortage of schools and qualified teachers. SADCS`s initiative to provide free of cost kindergarten education to the underprivileged children of the Sreenagar upazila is a small but significant step towards solving that major predicament. SADCS realizes that education makes children less vulnerable to exploitation, introduces structure in their lives and alleviates the barriers to a better future. Many of us take education for granted, but numerous underprivileged children are not blessed with such a prospect. That is why SADCS focuses on helping the most disadvantaged and vulnerable children aiming to provide a safe and protective environment where they can learn the basic skills needed to succeed in their lives. You also can make a momentous difference by contributing through sponsorship. How does SADCS select its students from thousands of applicants? SADCS selects its students from the poorest families whose parents are completely incapable of carrying out their kid's educational expenses. SADCS also puts special consideration on selecting those children who have single parents. Each of these kids has a designated individual sponsor to bear all the educational expenses of him/her. By contributing AUD 10 per month, you can also be a part of this noble endeavor of facilitating the achievement of these kids’ highest potential. PEOPLES AT SADCS
