Meet Fariba, our dedicated Research and Content Coordinator at Shocchotar Proyash. As a 21-year-old student majoring in Soil, Water, and Environment at the University of Dhaka, Fariba is passionate about environmental advocacy and committed to exploring sustainable practices that benefit both local ecosystems and global communities.

With a focus on creating engaging content for social media, she aims to raise awareness about pressing environmental issues in her region. Fariba is actively working toward her dream of developing effective and economical solutions for recycling plastic, metal, and electronic waste through her community Waste Management Project.

During her time with Shocchotar Proyash, Fariba is excited to collaborate with fellow members to tackle urgent environmental challenges and explore innovative sustainability strategies. 🌍✨ From Introversion to Inspiration: A Reflection by Taznia Tabassum Onon ✨🌍

Hello everyone! I’m Taznia Tabassum Onon, the Team Lead of Social Media at Shochhotar Proyash, and I’d like to share a little about my journey here:

"I started as a social media and content assistant, fueled by a passion for climate change and environmental issues. When I first joined, I was quite introverted and often found it difficult to express my thoughts and ideas. Unsure of how to communicate, I sometimes hesitated to speak up.

But something that truly helped me grow was the incredible support from my teammates. They believed in me even when I doubted myself. Their humility, encouragement, and trust made me feel comfortable expressing my ideas and taking that next step forward.

Thanks to them, I gradually found my voice and gained the confidence to share my thoughts openly. It wasn’t just about learning new skills—it was about realizing that my ideas mattered and that I had the support of people who genuinely believed in me.

To anyone out there who feels unsure or afraid to express themselves, I want to remind you that growth takes time, and having supportive people around you can make all the difference. Don’t be afraid to step forward because, with the right people beside you, you can achieve more than you ever imagined."

Meet Talha, Co-Founder and the creative force behind Shocchotar Proyash’s content. As the project's lead content writer, Talha's powerful write-ups and engaging blogs have been key to spreading awareness and driving the project's message. Beyond his role in content creation, Talha played an essential part in the Mohakhali TNT Colony project, where he conducted a thorough needs assessment by engaging directly with the locals. Meet our Co-founder Sajib, the logistics expert behind many of Shocchotar Proyash’s successful operations. With a keen eye for detail and a wealth of experience from his time with BD Clean-up, Sajib has played a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless management of logistics for our projects. His contributions have been especially impactful during the Mohakhali TNT Colony initiative, where he not only handled logistics but also actively participated in cleaning and revitalizing an unused area, turning it into a vibrant space for the community.

Sajib’s hands-on involvement and organizational skills were key to transforming the neglected space into a safe playground for children, showcasing his dedication to the project’s mission. Meet our Co-Founder Tareq, whose dedication and expertise have been crucial to the project’s success. As a CSE major, Tareq takes charge of all technical operations, ensuring that our virtual workshops, meetings, and recruitment interviews run seamlessly. He also plays a vital role in managing internal communications and coordinating with team assistants, making sure that every part of the project operates smoothly.

Tareq's impact goes far beyond the IT realm. He played an integral role in securing funding for Shocchotar Proyash from BYLC’s Leadership in Action program, demonstrating his commitment to the project’s growth and long-term vision. His efforts were vital in bringing in the resources needed to expand our initiatives and reach a broader audience. During the Mohakhali TNT Colony project, Tareq single-handedly managed communications with waste vendors and locals, displaying his impressive communication skills and overseeing logistics with great care and efficiency.

Tareq’s dedication to Shocchotar Proyash is truly remarkable. His tireless efforts, from securing funding to hands-on project ex*****on, are the backbone of our success. We deeply value his leadership, commitment, and the passion he brings to every aspect of our mission.
