Phulkuri Ashar, Adabor Zone was formed by splitting the larger Mohammadpur Zone into two new zones, namely: Adabor, Mohammadpur. In its first year of operation it was able to capture the prize of 'Best Zone Award' and was also appreciated as a major zone by many Central organizers of Phulkuri Ashar.'Jhomko Joba'-an Ashar (primary unit) of this zone also awarded the 'Best Ashar Award'. It is also

worth mentioning that it is the only Zone which had an Ashar with Four Ogropothik (highest rank in Phulkuri Ashar). Adabor Zone put impression of its excellence through organisational, cultural, educational and innovative activities.
