আমরা ফটোগ্রাফি, ভিডিওগ্রাফি, গ্রাফিক ডিজাইন, মিডিয়া প্রোডাকশন, ইভেন্ট কাভারেজ, পাবলিক রিলেশন্স, ব্র্যান্ডিং ও যোগাযোগ–এই সকল ক্ষেত্রে আগ্রহী শিক্ষার্থীদের একত্র করে সমকালীন দক্ষতার চর্চা ও পেশাদার মানের কাজ তৈরিতে উৎসাহিত করি।
বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ইতিবাচক ভাবমূর্তি তুলে ধরতে BMCC তার প্রতিষ্ঠাকাল থেকেই বুয়েট এর প্রধান নিউজ মিডিয়া হিসেবে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে আসছে । সততা, সাম্য ও একতা = এই তিন মূলমূল্যকে ধারণ করে, আমরা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কাঠামোগত ও সাংগঠনিক সমস্ত ঘটনার আলোকে সত্য উন্মোচনে দৃঢ় প্রতিজ্ঞাবদ্ধ।

Currently Professor Dr. Md. Iqbal Hossain ( Chemical Engineeering, BUET), appointed by The Directorate of Student Welfare (DSW) at BUET, acting as the club's moderator and overseeing activities. Under his strong leadership, guidance, and professional supervision, the club continues to play a significant role in responsible journalism, creative expression, media development, and enhancing students’ skills. Centered on the values of truth, integrity, and accountability, BMCC has established itself as a trusted, active, and influential student platform within the BUET campus.

বুয়েটে ইভেন্ট অনুমতি সংকট ও ক্যাম্পাস সুবিধা নিয়ে শিক্ষার্থীদের অসন্তোষ

বাংলাদেশ প্রকৌশল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় (বুয়েট)-এ সম্প্রতি ক্যাম্পাসে বিভিন্ন অনুষ্ঠান আয়োজনের অনুমতি না দেওয়া এবং সামগ্রিক অবকাঠামোগত পরিস্থিতি নিয়ে শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে অসন্তোষ দেখা দিয়েছে।

শিক্ষার্থীদের অভিযোগ অনুযায়ী, গত এক বছরে বেশ কয়েকটি শিক্ষার্থী-নির্ভর সাংস্কৃতিক ও সংগঠনিক অনুষ্ঠান আয়োজনের চেষ্টা করা হলেও প্রশাসনের অনুমতি মেলেনি। এর মধ্যে রয়েছে একটি সীরাত মাহফিল, র‍্যাগ কনসার্ট এবং নববর্ষ উপলক্ষে আর্কিটেকচার সংশ্লিষ্ট শিক্ষার্থীদের আয়োজিত একটি সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান। কিছু ক্ষেত্রে চলমান অনুষ্ঠানের সময়ও প্রশাসনিক বাধা বা বিদ্যুৎ সংযোগ বিচ্ছিন্ন হওয়ার মতো ঘটনা ঘটেছে বলে শিক্ষার্থীরা দাবি করেন।

শিক্ষার্থীরা মনে করেন, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় জীবনে সাংস্কৃতিক ও সহশিক্ষা কার্যক্রম গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখে, এবং এ ধরনের কার্যক্রমে সীমাবদ্ধতা তাদের মধ্যে অসন্তোষ সৃষ্টি করছে।

এছাড়া ক্যাম্পাসের অবকাঠামো ও সেবার মান নিয়েও শিক্ষার্থীদের পক্ষ থেকে বিভিন্ন প্রশ্ন উঠেছে। এর মধ্যে রয়েছে আবাসিক হলগুলোর বর্তমান অবস্থা, নতুন হল নির্মাণে ধীরগতি, এবং উন্নত একাডেমিক ভবনের প্রয়োজনীয়তা। পাশাপাশি কিছু শিক্ষার্থী পর্যাপ্ত মেডিকেল সুবিধার অভাব, নির্দিষ্ট সফটওয়্যারের সীমিত অ্যাক্সেস এবং পরীক্ষার খাতায় অ্যানোনিমিটি ব্যবস্থা নিয়ে উদ্বেগ প্রকাশ করেছেন।

বাজেট সংক্রান্ত বিষয়েও শিক্ষার্থীরা প্রশ্ন তুলেছেন। অন্যান্য সরকারি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের তুলনায় বুয়েটে উন্নয়ন বাজেট ও বরাদ্দ নিয়ে তুলনামূলক আলোচনা দেখা যাচ্ছে, যেখানে হল ফি এবং শিক্ষার্থী কল্যাণ ব্যয়ের স্বচ্ছতা ও পর্যাপ্ততা নিয়ে প্রশ্ন উঠছে।

অন্যদিকে, প্রশাসনিক সূত্র সাধারণত বলে থাকে যে, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অনুষ্ঠান ও অবকাঠামো সংক্রান্ত সিদ্ধান্ত নিরাপত্তা, নীতিমালা এবং সীমিত সম্পদের যথাযথ ব্যবস্থাপনার ভিত্তিতে নেওয়া হয়।

সব মিলিয়ে, শিক্ষার্থীদের সাংস্কৃতিক স্বাধীনতা ও উন্নত ক্যাম্পাস সুবিধার প্রত্যাশা এবং প্রশাসনিক নীতিমালা ও সীমাবদ্ধতার মধ্যে একটি ব্যবধান স্পষ্টভাবে উঠে আসছে।

BUET Self Defense Club (BSDC) successfully held its Belt Promotion Test and Certificate Awarding Ceremony on 9 April 2026 at the BUET Gymnasium, under the patronage of the Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW).
The program was conducted in a formal and disciplined manner and featured Dr. A. K. M. Masud, Director of the Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW), as the Chief Guest. The event was also honored by the presence of distinguished guests, including Dr. Sheikh Mokhlesur Rahman, Moderator of BSDC and Professor, Department of Civil Engineering; Mrs. Sania Binte Mahtab, Co-Moderator of BSDC and Assistant Professor, Department of Water Resources Engineering; and Abdullah Al Fatin, Administrative Officer, DSW.
Participants were evaluated under the supervision of Master Aminul Islam, Trainer of BSDC, where they demonstrated their skills in Taeguk forms, board breaking, and self-defense techniques. Based on their performance, members achieved promotions across Yellow, Green, and Blue belt levels in Taekwondo.
The event concluded with a demonstration session followed by the awarding of belts and certificates to the successful participants.

বাংলাদেশে প্রথমবারের মতো vehicle-pooling app, JyGo নিয়ে এলো বুয়েটের শিক্ষার্থীরা।

প্রতিদিন 'Solo ride' বা একা যাতায়াত করতে গিয়ে যাত্রীদের গুনতে হয় ২ থেকে ৪ গুণ বাড়তি ভাড়া। অথচ রিকশা, সিএনজি বা প্রাইভেট কারের অর্ধেকের বেশি সিট থাকে ফাঁকা। যাত্রীদের এই বিশাল খরচ বাঁচাতে এবং শহরের যানজট কমাতে বাংলাদেশে প্রথমবারের মতো চালু হলো শেয়ারে যাতায়াতের (vehicle-pooling) অ্যাপ 'JyGo'।

App টি ঠিক একই সময়ে একই রুটে যেতে চাওয়া যাত্রীদের কানেক্ট করে দেয়। ফলে একাধিক যাত্রী রিকশা, সিএনজি বা গাড়িতে শেয়ারে যাতায়াত করে শেষ ভাড়াটি নিজেদের মধ্যে ভাগ করে নিতে পারেন। এর মাধ্যমে ভাড়া ৫০-৮০% পর্যন্ত বাচানো সম্ভব। মজার বিষয়, App টি ভাড়ার উপর কোনো কমিশন নেয় না!

নিরাপত্তার কথা মাথায় রেখে App টিতে রয়েছে ইউজার ভেরিফিকেশন, লাইভ ট্র‍্যাকিং ও ইমারজেন্সি কল। বিশেষ করে নারীদের স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যে যাতায়াতের জন্য 'Gender Preference' অপশনও রয়েছে।

ঢাকার তীব্র যানযট নিত্যদিনের সমস্যা, এটি সমাধানের লক্ষ্যে বিদ্যমান যানবাহনের সর্বোচ্চ ব্যবহার নিশ্চিতের চেষ্টা করছে JyGo। এছাড়াও যখন বিশ্বজুড়ে জ্বালানী সংকট বড় উদ্বেগের কারণ, তখন পরিবহন খাতে এমন উদ্যোগ বেশ সময়োপযোগী।

কারা তৈরি করেছে এই App?
অভিনব এই Startup টি তৈরি করেছে বাংলাদেশ প্রকৌশল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের (BUET) Urban and Regional Planning ডিপার্টমেন্টের দ্বিতীয় বর্ষের তিন শিক্ষার্থী।

গত জানুয়ারিতে Google Play Store ও Huawei AppGallery তে লঞ্চ করার পর এটি ব্যাপক সাড়া পেয়েছে। ইতিমধ্যে ব্যবহারকারী ৫০০০ ছাড়িয়েছে ও প্রতিনিয়ত বাড়ছে। এছাড়া লঞ্চের তিন মাসের মধ্যেই App টি বিশ্বের সর্ববৃহৎ স্টার্টআপ নেটওয়ার্ক, F6S এ 'Top 4 Ride Hailing Company' হিসেবে স্বীকৃতি পেয়েছে।

চলমান বছরের শেষের দিকে App টি ভারত, পাকিস্তান, শ্রীলঙ্কাসহ আরও কিছু দেশেও পরীক্ষামূলকভাবে বিস্তৃত করার কথা চিন্তা করা হচ্ছে।

বিশ্বজুড়ে ছড়িয়ে থাকা বুয়েটের এলামনাইদের বুয়েটের উন্নয়নে এ ধরণের সক্রিয় অংশগ্রহণ বুয়েট কে আরো কয়েকধাপ এগিয়ে নিবে।

Autoshow 3.0 under Autocarnival 2026 was successfully held on 1st April at the cafeteria ground of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, turning the campus into a vibrant car scene. Organized by the BUET Automobile Club, the event showcased premium vehicles, including the MG Cyberster. The moving car display across campus kept the energy high throughout the day and drew strong engagement from visitors. Powered by MG Motor in collaboration with The Slowkits, the event concluded successfully with great participation.
