One of the most devastating floods in history has been triggered by the surge of water flowing down from India. Nearly 4.5 million people are trapped by water in several districts, including Feni, Noakhali, and Chittagong. This catastrophic flood has left people destitute, with many losing their homes and livelihoods. However, people from all walks of life, along with various social and cultural organizations, have stepped up to support those affected. The remarkable response of the Bangladeshi people in the face of this disaster will be remembered in history.
Since 2017, Bangladesh Youth Initiative has been consistently standing by people during natural disasters like floods, cyclones, and landslides. In this current humanitarian crisis, Bangladesh Youth Initiative is once again by your side. In the flood-affected areas, people are still not receiving enough relief; there is a dire shortage of clean drinking water, and essential supplies are desperately needed.
