Our team from the Institute of Information Technology (IIT), University of Dhaka achieved an Honorable Mention and ranked among the top 8 globally in the International Data Science Olympiad (AI Category)!

Out of 30 participating teams from around the world, only 8 from AI category made it to the final presentation and Mahdiya and Sumaiya, two of our members from IIT Girls' Community were proudly among them, representing Bangladesh on the global stage.

Welcoming the New Female Students of IIT Batch 17 to IITGC!

On July 21st, IITGC hosted an orientation session to warmly welcome the talented new female students of Batch 17.

We were honored to have our respected Director, Advisory Committee, Founding President, Current President, and General Secretary grace the event with their inspiring speeches. Their words served as a powerful motivation, encouraging our students to confidently pursue their journey with IITGC.

Mahreen Chowdhury.

The teacher who ran into the fire—again and again—to save her students.

Alongside her stood another teacher and a school helper, who also rushed to pull children from the wreckage.
Together, they didn’t think twice.
They just acted—with courage, love, and complete selflessness.

More than 20 children were saved that day because of them.

Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear sarees, ID cards, and school aprons.
Some walk into fire to bring others out.

On behalf of the IITGC, we bow our heads in gratitude.
To Miss Mahreen—who gave everything.
And to those who stood by her in those final, fiery moments.

May their names be remembered in every classroom, every school, every heart.
