Christian Commission for Development in Bangladesh (CCDB) organized the โ๐๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ ๐๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ด๐ถ๐ญ๐ต๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐๐ญ๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ต๐ฆ ๐๐ข๐ฑ๐ข๐ค๐ช๐ต๐บ ๐๐ฆ๐ท๐ฆ๐ญ๐ฐ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ฏ๐ด๐ต๐ช๐ต๐ถ๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ ๐๐ฐ๐ญ๐ญ๐ข๐ฃ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏโ along with an ๐๐น๐๐บ๐ป๐ถ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ป๐ถ๐ผ๐ป and ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐บ๐ผ๐ป๐ for its ๐๐น๐ฎ๐ด๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐น๐ถ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฒ ๐๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป on 21 May 2026 at Hotel Sarina, Dhaka.
The event brought together representatives from government institutions, NGOs, development organizations, academia, climate practitioners, and civil society to strengthen collaboration and promote coordinated action in addressing Bangladeshโs growing climate challenges. The consultation provided an important platform for discussion on climate vulnerability, institutional capacity development, policy implementation, public health, and innovative climate solutions.
At the beginning of the event, ๐๐๐น๐ถ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฎ ๐ ๐ฎ๐น๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฎ๐ฟ, Executive Director of CCDB, delivered a comprehensive presentation highlighting the organizationโs ongoing efforts to build climate-resilient communities across Bangladesh.
The keynote presentation was delivered by ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฏ ๐ ๐ผ๐ต๐ฎ๐บ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐๐ฟ๐ณ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐น๐น๐ฎ๐ต, focusing on climate capacity development and GOโNGO collaboration. Professor ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐พ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ถ๐ฟ, Coordinator of the Climate Change and Health Development Unit under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and ๐ ๐ผ๐ป๐ถ๐๐ต ๐๐ด๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐น, Country Director of Concern Worldwide, also shared their insights and perspectives during the event.
The panel discussion, moderated by ๐ ๐ผ๐๐๐๐บ๐ถ ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ, brought together distinguished experts and development leaders, including climate scientist ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐ต๐๐ฎ๐ป ๐จ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ต๐บ๐ฒ๐ฑ, Joint Secretary ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฟ๐ถ ๐๐๐บ๐ฎ๐ฟ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ธ๐ฎ๐ฟ, ๐๐ผ๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐ท๐ธ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ, Country Director of Cordaid Bangladesh, and the Executive Director of Christian Commission for Development in Bangladesh. The speakers emphasized the urgent need for stronger institutional collaboration, coordinated climate action, and evidence-based solutions to address Bangladeshโs growing climate challenges effectively.
The program also celebrated the successful completion of the 8th batch of CCDBโs internationally recognized Flagship Training on Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation. Participants received certificates recognizing their learning and contributions to climate action. An alumni network was also officially launched to connect climate professionals, researchers, teachers, and development practitioners, creating opportunities for future collaboration, knowledge sharing, and stronger climate leadership.
