Why do we donate? Why do we serve? Why do we choose to care?
For us, the Blood Donation Camp was never just about collecting blood.
Behind every bag of blood, there is a person waiting. Someone who needs regular transfusions. Someone whose family worries about their next supply. Someone is simply hoping to get another day, another month, another chance.
During our visit to Bangladesh Thalassemia Samity & Hospital, we got the chance to hear these stories from the people who work there and, most importantly, from those who live with thalassemia every day.
Listening to them made us realise that what may seem like a small act to us can mean so much to someone else.
This is why we donate.
This is why we serve.
Because somewhere, someone is waiting for the help we can give.
