Representing the Rotaract Club of Dhaka at a momentous occasion!

Our President and Secretary had the honor of attending the "90th Installation Ceremony" of the Rotary Club of Dhaka, held at the prestigious Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel, Dhaka.

The evening offered a wonderful platform to connect with distinguished Rotarians, fellow Rotaractors, and professionals from diverse fields. We were especially delighted to exchange ideas and strengthen bonds with the leaders of the ​"Rotaract Club of Dhaka Udayan" and the "Rotaract Club of Dhaka Paramount". Moments like these truly highlight the power of collaboration and fellowship in building stronger clubs and creating greater community impact.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Lieutenant Colonel Rotarian Syed Quamruzzaman, BGBM, MPHF (Retd.) on assuming the Presidency of the Rotary Club of Dhaka. We wish him and his Board a highly successful and impactful Rotary year filled with purposeful service, innovative leadership, and meaningful achievements.

The Rotaract Club of Dhaka remains committed to supporting the education and dreams of underprivileged children.

Recently, the club donated academic books to three orphan students from Dhaka Orphanage Trust, Farasganj — two from Class 8 and one from Class 9 — who were struggling to continue their studies due to the lack of necessary textbooks.

Additionally, Exam Kits were gifted to six deserving girls from the orphanage who are preparing for their HSC examinations in 2026. Each kit contained a transparent file, 12 pens, a blue pen, pencil, eraser, and ruler — essential tools to help them perform their best in the upcoming board exam.

Education is the strongest tool for breaking the cycle of poverty. Through these small but meaningful contributions, club aims to empower these young minds and stand by them in their journey toward a brighter future.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all Rotaractors and well-wishers who supported this initiative.
Together, let us continue to build a more educated and equitable Bangladesh.

On 9 February 1974, at the Dhaka University Teachers’ Students’ Centre, a historic meeting was convened with 14 professionals from diverse fields and careers. None present could have foreseen that this gathering would mark the beginning of a new era of leadership development and community service in Bangladesh.

The meeting was presided over by Wazir Hossain, then Lecturer of Journalism at Dhaka University. Mr. M A Baqque, President of the Rotary Club of Dhaka at the time, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. This landmark meeting gave birth to the Rotaract Movement in Bangladesh with the establishment of the Rotaract Club of Dhaka — the nation’s first Rotaract club.

The club was officially chartered on 6 May 1974, formally recognizing it as the pioneering Rotaract Club of Bangladesh.
