The team MIST_EaglesClaw, consisting of Syed Tamal (CSE-22), Md Saif Ahmed (CSE-23), and Shihab Ahmed (CSE-23), participated in the Inter-University Programming Contest (IUPC) hosted by Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB) on 16 May.

Competing against 95+ teams from different universities across the country, the team secured the 32nd position.

We appreciate their effort and enthusiasm in representing MIST and wish them success in future programming contests.

On Wednesday, April 8, our Level 1, 2, and 3 members came together to vote for the 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐓 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. It was incredible to see so much enthusiasm and participation — every vote counts and shapes the future of our club!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined in and supported the process. Your involvement is what keeps MCC growing stronger.

The Dept of CSE, MIST arranged an Iftar Mahfil and Farewell Program on 11 March 2026. The event was supported by the MIST Computer Club and the MIST Cyber Security Club.

Along with sharing the blessings of Ramadan, the program also included a farewell for the outgoing panel members of the MIST Computer Club. We also expressed our sincere thanks to our former Competitive Programming Trainer, Tariq Hasan Rizu (CSE’20), for his dedication, support, and guidance to the club.

We were happy to have our respected Head of the Department, honorable faculty members, alumni, and current students with us. It was really nice to see everyone from different batches come together in one place.

Events like this help us spend time together, create good memories and strengthen the bond within the MIST CSE community.

MIST Computer Club at BUET CSE FEST 2026:

The team MIST_Untitled, consisting of Yusuf Reza Hasnat (L4), Istiaque Ahmed (L4) and Shihab Ahmed (L3), participated in the Inter University Programming Contest on 5 February. They managed to solve 6 problems and achieved 54th place out of 100+ teams.

Earlier, MIST_Breakthrough, consisting of Mantaka Mahir (L2), Al Mobin Talukder (L2) and Md Ismail Hossain (L1), participated in the final round of the Hackathon on 29 January.

Both teams demonstrated excellent teamwork and strength in their respective events.

Our participants are stepping up to the challenge, giving their best to prove their problem-solving skills and teamwork. With BUET IUPC 2026 ahead of us, every contest matters. This is the first step of the journey. It's time to learn, improve and give it their all!

The final standings of the 𝐈𝐂𝐏𝐂 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚 𝐃𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 have been announced, and five teams from the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) proudly took part in this prestigious competition, competing among 𝟑𝟏𝟑 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬 in total.
Below are the official standings of the MIST teams (excluding IOI teams):

1️⃣ 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐓_𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬 consists of Syed Mafijul Islam(L4), Saif Ahmed(L3) and Rafsan Hasan Ratul(L2) achieved 𝟑𝟖𝐭𝐡 place (𝟑𝟗𝐭𝐡 including IOI teams).

2️⃣ 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐓_𝐔𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐝 consists of Yusuf Reza Hasnat(L4), Istiaque Ahmed Arik(L4) and Shihab Ahmed(L3) achieved 𝟕𝟕𝐭𝐡 place (𝟕𝟖𝐭𝐡 including IOI teams).

3️⃣ 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐓_𝐫𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐚 consists of Miraz Morshed(L2), Mahadi Israk Mahir(L2) and Farhan Sadik Tasin(L2) achieved 𝟏𝟎𝟗𝐭𝐡 place (𝟏𝟏𝟏𝐭𝐡 including IOI teams).

4️⃣ 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐓_𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 consists of Arifur Rahman Alif(L1), Ragib Rayhan(L1) and Fahim Muhtachim(L1) achieved 𝟏𝟓𝟏𝐬𝐭 place (𝟏𝟓𝟑𝐫𝐝 including IOI teams).

5️⃣ 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐓_𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬_𝟐.𝟎 consists of Ragib Hossain Rifat(L3), Sadman Shafiq(L4) and Arafat Hasan Sarkar(L3) achieved 𝟏𝟓𝟕𝐭𝐡 place (𝟏𝟓𝟗𝐭𝐡 including IOI teams).

All the teams gave their best to showcase their skills on this highly competitive stage. Their performances were the result of months of consistent practice, teamwork, and dedication in preparation for this year’s ICPC Dhaka Regional Contest.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the faculty members, coaches, and seniors whose guidance, mentoring, and constant support played a crucial role in these achievements. The progress shown by these teams reflects the growing strength of competitive programming at MIST, and we look forward to even stronger performances in the years ahead.

Five teams from the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) represented the university at the ICPC Asia Dhaka Regional Onsite Contest 2025, competing among 313 of the strongest teams in the region. Their hard work, discipline and months of preparation were shown throughout the contest.

We sincerely appreciate the effort and dedication of every participating team. Their teamwork and determination truly reflect the spirit of learning and excellence that MIST values.

These performances highlight the steady growth of competitive programming at MIST. We are proud of all the teams for their commitment and look forward to seeing them achieve even greater success in the future.

We proudly congratulate our two MIST teams for their strong performance at the CUET Inter-University Programming Contest 2025.

1️⃣ MIST_Eagleforces (Syed Tamal, Saif Ahmed, Rafsan Hasan Ratul) achieved 28th rank and
2️⃣ MIST_Untitled (Istiaque Ahmed Arik, Yusuf Reza Hasnat, Shihab Ahmed) secured an excellent 67th rank out of 130 teams.

Their dedication to competitive programming makes MIST proud.

The ICPC Dhaka Regional Preliminary Round was held on November 15, 2025, where 18 teams from MIST participated with energy and strong competitive spirit. The contest was conducted online, with all teams competing from the MIST campus in a coordinated environment.

We’re proud to share that 5 teams from MIST have qualified for the onsite regional round, which will take place on December 19-20, 2025, at BUBT. This achievement reflects the consistency, teamwork, and dedication of our students.

A sincere thank-you goes to the respected faculty members of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, MIST, along with the volunteers of MIST Computer Club, whose effort and support ensured smooth participation throughout the event.

Congratulations to all the teams for their hard work and impressive performance. Best wishes to the qualifiers for the upcoming onsite round!
