𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗢𝗣 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
“𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲, 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀.”
Bangladesh Youth COP 2026 was truly an enriching experience, a journey to listen, learn and to act, from the voices of climate justice from across the nation, all gathered on a common platform to voice their opinions and take action.
Whether it is voices from the community or at the global for a greener future, the journey gave a platform to the youth to interact and share their thoughts with the people who hold the power.
The valedictory function saw the presence of honourable guests and speakers like Farah Kabir, Country Director of ActionAid Bangladesh, Shiuneen Rasheed, High Commissioner of Maldives to Bangladesh, Mr Anders B.Karlsen, Deputy Head of Mission, Danish Embassy, H.E. Susan Ryle, Australian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Dr. Famida Khanom, Acting Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Mr. Kazi Ehsanul Haque, Director General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
We also welcome Yudhishtir Chandra Biswas, Founder & Executive Director of YOUCAN, on whose constant support and guidance, this platform stands tall.
While for us, youth participation can never end at listening, it must move to the negotiation table, where the voices from the frontlines, Bangladesh Youth COP 2026 provided a platform for the young climate warriors to interact and negotiate with the powers at hand.
The conversations might reach an end, but not the actions. From voice to action, the journey continues to make the climate change narrative more inclusive and equitable, from the frontlines to the negotiation table.
