At the heart of every health revolution is the people, and at Nari Maitree, we believe in putting the community first to drive lasting change. We are proud to highlight our recent "Empowering Communities for DR-TB" dialogues held across in different place of Dhaka, where local voices took center stage in the fight against tuberculosis. In partnership with the Fast Track the Cure initiative, we gathered influential community leaders, resilient survivors, and frontliaste health workers to ensure that the rollout of the revolutionary 6-month, all-oral BPaL/M regimen is shaped by the needs of those it serves. From the lanes of the urban slum to our strategic health hubs, we are breaking down barriers of stigma and building a foundation of trust. By empowering our "BPaL/M Ambassadors" and listening directly to community feedback, we are making life-saving treatment more accessible, shorter, and simpler for everyone. Our mission remains steadfast: to find every "missing case" and ensure that no one walks the path to recovery alone. Together, with the community leading the way, we are writing a new chapter for a TB-free Bangladesh.

We were honored to host a distinguished delegation from the Embassy of Sweden in Dhaka Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh, led by Hanna Norell, at our UN Women Multipurpose Women’s Centre (MPWC) in Camp 18. This visit provided a powerful platform for our Rohingya Gender Volunteers and women leaders to showcase how they are transforming their community through education, respect, and leadership. From touring our "one-stop" integrated service hub to engaging with participants of the Engaging Men through Accountable Practice (EMAP) initiative, the delegation witnessed firsthand the resilience and aspirations of women who are preparing to lead their own future. A heartfelt thank you to UN Women Bangladesh for their unwavering partnership in making this impactful exchange possible.

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of a two-day intensive training on Ex-Post Evaluation for enumerators, focusing on the Cohort 1 participants of the Urban Green Graduation Programme (UGGP). Organized by Nari Maitree, this training brought together partners from SEEP and CUP, with the invaluable support of Concern Worldwide and Irish Aid

The qualitative component of this evaluation is critical to our mission. It aims to assess the long-term sustainability of key outcomes, understand the drivers that help participants maintain their graduation status, and explore any challenges or vulnerabilities faced after exiting the program. Furthermore, the training emphasized examining gender and social inclusion outcomes to ensure that our future programming remains inclusive and impactful. This process allows us to contextualize quantitative findings and generate vital learnings for the next phase of our journey. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the facilitators from Concern’s MEAL Team—Shahid Mahmood (Technical Adviser-MEAL) and Suraiya Khatun (Programme Specialist)—for their expert guidance. With the active participation of Nari Maitree and SEEP’s management, we are now better equipped to measure the true transformation in the lives of the urban poor and refine our strategies for a more sustainable and resilient future.

শিশুদের হামের ঝুঁকি থেকে সুরক্ষিত রাখতে এবং জনসচেতনতা বৃদ্ধিতে নারী মৈত্রী নিরলসভাবে কাজ করে যাচ্ছে। এরই ধারাবাহিকতায় ঢাকা শহরের বিভিন্ন এলাকায় আমাদের বিশেষ সচেতনতামূলক কার্যক্রম বর্তমানে চলমান রয়েছে। 🏃‍♂️💨 আমাদের একদল নিবেদিতপ্রাণ চেঞ্জ মেকার, গ্রিন ভলান্টিয়ার গ্রুপ লিডার এবং কমিউনিটি টিচাররা বাড়ি বাড়ি গিয়ে হাম সম্পর্কে প্রয়োজনীয় তথ্য পৌঁছে দিচ্ছেন। আমরা কেবল তথ্য দিচ্ছি না, বরং প্রতিটি পরিবারকে সচেতন করছি:
✅ হাম কী এবং এর লক্ষণগুলো কী কী?
✅ এটি কীভাবে ছড়ায় এবং প্রতিরোধের উপায়।
✅ শিশু আক্রান্ত হলে দ্রুত করণীয় এবং সঠিক যত্ন।

শুধু বাসাবাড়ি নয়, স্থানীয় দোকানপাট ও পথচারীদের মাঝেও লিফলেট বিতরণের মাধ্যমে এই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বার্তা পৌঁছে দেওয়া হচ্ছে। 📄🤝

মনে রাখবেন, হাম প্রতিরোধে টিকাই সবচেয়ে কার্যকর উপায়। নারী মৈত্রী পরিচালিত বিভিন্ন ক্লিনিক হতে নিয়মিতভাবে শিশুদের হামের টিকা প্রদান করা হচ্ছে। আপনার শিশুকে সময়মতো টিকা দিন এবং সুস্থ রাখুন। 💉সাথী হোন আমাদের এই সমন্বিত প্রচেষ্টার। আপনার সামান্য সচেতনতা একটি শিশুর জীবন বাঁচাতে পারে।

দেশের উন্নয়নে তরুণদের সক্রিয় অংশগ্রহণ আর সুশাসনের চর্চা অপরিহার্য। এই লক্ষ্যকে সামনে রেখে নারী মৈত্রী আয়োজন করেছিল দুইদিনব্যাপী 'সু-শাসন বিষয়ক বিশেষ প্রশিক্ষণ'। যেখানে অংশ নিয়েছে বিভিন্ন যুব ক্লাবের ৬০ জন উদ্যমী তরুণ-তরুণী।

প্রশিক্ষণটিতে অংশগ্রহণকারীরা কেবল তাত্ত্বিক জ্ঞান নয়, বরং নাগরিক দায়িত্ব, স্বচ্ছতা, জবাবদিহিতা এবং সুশাসনের বাস্তবধর্মী প্রয়োগ সম্পর্কে বিস্তারিত ধারণা অর্জন করেছে। দলীয় কাজ (Group Work), প্রাণবন্ত আলোচনা এবং অভিজ্ঞতা বিনিময়ের মাধ্যমে এই যুবরা এখন নিজ নিজ কমিউনিটিতে নেতৃত্ব দেওয়ার জন্য পুরোপুরি প্রস্তুত। 🤝💪

প্রশিক্ষণের মূল দিকসমূহ:
✅ নাগরিক অধিকার ও দায়িত্ব সম্পর্কে সচেতনতা।
✅ স্বচ্ছতা ও জবাবদিহিতা নিশ্চিতকরণে যুবদের ভূমিকা।
✅ স্থানীয় পর্যায়ে ইতিবাচক পরিবর্তনের জন্য নেতৃত্ব গড়ে তোলা।

নারী মৈত্রী বিশ্বাস করে, এই সচেতন তরুণরাই ভবিষ্যতে সমাজে অংশগ্রহণমূলক সুশাসন প্রতিষ্ঠায় অগ্রণী ভূমিকা পালন করবে। তারুণ্যের এই উদ্দীপনাই গড়ে তুলবে আগামীর সমৃদ্ধ ও স্বচ্ছ বাংলাদেশ। 🌟

On 31 March 2026, Nari Maitree organized the Project Introduction and Inception Meeting for the Strengthening Community and Institutional Response to Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation project, bringing together government officials, civil society actors, youth groups, and community representatives.
The meeting highlighted the importance of collective action, stronger coordination, and community-driven initiatives to prevent child sexual abuse and ensure a safer environment for children across Dhaka, Satkhira, and Moulvibazar. The Project is part of the Nagorikata Programme, funded by Switzerland, Canada and the European Union.

Together, we move forward with a shared commitment to protect every child.

Today, Nari Maitree celebrated World Water Day 2026 at the Dhaka with a vibrant community event supported by Concern Worldwide and Irish Aid . Focusing on this year’s theme, "Water and Gender," the program brought together local leaders, UGGP participants, change-makers, and Green Volunteers to highlight the vital link between water security and women’s empowerment. Through an energetic rally, insightful discussions, a thematic role-play drama, and an interactive quiz, we reinforced the urgent message: “Water is life, so save it.” Our guest speakers emphasized that while water is essential for survival, millions still lack access to safe drinking water, making conservation a collective responsibility. By empowering communities to “Save water today for a better tomorrow,” we are taking a stand for a sustainable and equitable future. 🌍✨
