AMAL Foundation AMAL Foundation is a nonprofit community development organization. Our efforts reach 300+ students annually in some of the most underserved areas of Bangladesh.

The organization works to support and empower marginalized communities in Bangladesh to help them reach their full potential. Our Story
Amal Foundation was established in 2014 with a singular mission: to transform the lives of Bangladesh’s most vulnerable communities through hope and empowerment. Rooted in the belief that hope drives change, we draw inspiration from Samuel Smiles’ words: “Hope is the companion of power, and the mother of success.” Our name, derived from the Arabic word for hope, reflects our vision—becoming a guiding light for those in need. Amal Foundation has grown into a global family, united by our unwavering commitment to building a brighter, more equitable future. Our work is defined by tangible impacts, with a focus on long-term transformation and empowerment. Our Impact:

Over 8,000 children have been empowered through our educational programs. We run schools, distribute educational materials, and provide essential support like nutritious meals, ensuring that no child is left behind. Emergency Relief:
We’ve reached 2.1 million people through swift emergency relief, providing life-saving aid such as food, clothing, hygiene kits, and shelter during natural disasters. Our teams are always ready to respond quickly and effectively to support the most vulnerable communities. Empowerment:
Through skills training and livelihood support, we’ve empowered over 45,000 women and youth to become self-sufficient. Our programs focus on teaching practical skills like sewing, farming, and entrepreneurship, which enable individuals to generate income and support their families. Health:
With over 121,000 individuals served in health camps, we provide medical care, health education, and essential treatments. From maternal and child health services to combating waterborne diseases in flood-affected areas, we are dedicated to ensuring holistic well-being for all. Environment:
Our commitment to the environment includes planting 1,000+ trees and promoting climate-smart agriculture. Through these initiatives, we aim to build resilience against climate change while fostering sustainable livelihoods in vulnerable communities. Join us in our journey to make a lasting difference. Building Youth Leadership for Peace & Social Cohesion

Under the “Youth-Led Peacebuilding and Social Cohesion Initiatives in Bangladesh and Myanmar” initiative, co-funded by the European Union, Amal Foundation, in partnership with SHED and with technical support from ActionAid Bangladesh, successfully conducted 2 Quarterly Group Awareness Sessions on 13 and 15 September 2026 at Golap Youth Peace Cafe, Kharangkhali, Whykong, Teknaf.

👥 60 Participants | 2 Sessions | 2 Days of Learning & Reflection

The sessions focused on strengthening participants’ practical understanding of:

🔹 Peacebuilding & Social Cohesion
🔹 Stakeholder & Power Analysis
🔹 Transformational & Inclusive Leadership
🔹 Dialogue Facilitation & Mediation
🔹 Conflict-Sensitive Approaches
🔹 Safeguarding, PSEA & GBV
🔹 Referral Pathways & Feedback and Response Mechanism (FRM)

Through interactive discussions, reflection and mini case practices on water conflict, youth exclusion, social media rumours and women’s safety, participants explored practical approaches to addressing community challenges, promoting inclusive participation and strengthening constructive dialogue.

The sessions created a safe and participatory learning space where young people reflected on their roles as peacebuilders and community leaders, while strengthening their capacity to contribute to peaceful coexistence, inclusion and social cohesion.

সেশনগুলোতে অংশগ্রহণকারীদের নিম্নলিখিত বিষয়গুলো সম্পর্কে ব্যবহারিক জ্ঞান ও দক্ষতা উন্নয়নে গুরুত্বারোপ করা হয়—

ইন্টারঅ্যাকটিভ আলোচনা, আত্ম-অনুধ্যান এবং পানি-সংক্রান্ত বিরোধ, তরুণদের প্রান্তিককরণ, সামাজিক যোগাযোগমাধ্যমে গুজব ছড়ানো এবং নারীর নিরাপত্তা বিষয়ক সংক্ষিপ্ত কেস স্টাডির মাধ্যমে অংশগ্রহণকারীরা বাস্তব জীবনের বিভিন্ন কমিউনিটি চ্যালেঞ্জ মোকাবিলা, অন্তর্ভুক্তিমূলক অংশগ্রহণ নিশ্চিতকরণ এবং গঠনমূলক সংলাপ জোরদারের কার্যকর উপায়গুলো অনুসন্ধান করেন।

AMAL Foundation was pleased to participate in the two-day Annual Learning Sharing and Reflection Workshop hosted by World Vision Bangladesh, bringing together partners to exchange experiences, reflect on learnings, and explore ways to strengthen our collective impact.

As a partner in the 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗡𝗲𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁, we had the opportunity to share our field experiences, achievements, and learnings from working with children, families, and communities.

আমাল ফাউন্ডেশনের ভোকেশনাল ট্রেনিং সেন্টারে চলছে তরুণদের কারিগরি প্রশিক্ষণ প্রদান। নিবিড় এই প্রশিক্ষণের মাধ্যমে তারা নিজেদের দক্ষ করে গড়ে তুলছে, যেন বেকারত্বকে পেছনে ফেলে তারা নিজেরাই নিজেদের কর্মসংস্থানের পথ তৈরি করতে পারে।

For men and women aged 18–30 in Bogura and surrounding areas, there is an opportunity for completely free technical training. Learn hands-on skills such as mobile repairing, computer repairing, or the repair of electrical devices and home appliances. You will receive a certificate upon completion of the training.

Not just learning, a new skill can be the beginning of standing on your own feet. If anyone you know wants to learn such a skill that will be useful for them in the future, mention them or share this post to let them know.
