Bangladesh Child Fundamental Demand Foundation (BCFDF) is a non-government, non-profitable and non-political voluntary social development organization has started its journey in 2008. It has initiated development activities for the vulnerable street and slum children in 05 pocket areas of Dhaka district with a group of young volunteers who are self motivated to work for the vulnerable group in the area. Initially it has started its activities providing free pre-primary and primary education to the vulnerable street and slum children with five Bornomala schools in Dhaka City. The teacher of the education centers provided their voluntary services from the self motivated youth groups in the community. Before starting the non formal school in the area, a baseline survey of the area was conducted by the volunteer teachers. Basing on the survey of the pocket areas BCFDF initiated the Bornomala School center. With the span of time BCFDF is now operating 05 Bornomala School successfully in five pocked areas of street and slum children in Dhaka City. Basing on the need of the area BCFDF started free health care support, nutrition food supplement, recreational activities, counseling, skill development training, job placement etc. for the most vulnerable children living in slum areas and children living on the street.
With the span of time, BCFDF has attained its registration from the Register Joint Stock Company under Society Act in 2008. Foundation is a government registered Reg No: S-8118 (139)08. Step by step BCFDF applied to the Technical Education Board, Dhaka and enlisted for running Vocational Training Institute in Dhaka. Gradually BCFDF extended its program for the socio economic development activities like, distribution of free books and education materials among street and slum children. BCFDF is a voluntary organization for the mainstreaming these vulnerable children in the society/
To establish an equitable, just, democratic for a sustainable socio-economic development for mainstreaming the vulnerable women and their children who are deprived of their basic human rights.
Mission:
To establish a self sustainable organization to change the living status of the vulnerable population who are deprived of all basic rights in the society/community especially the women and children in a sustainable way through sharing knowledge, capacity development utilizing local available resources to live a dignified life.
WHAT WE DO?
Aims and objectives of BCFDF:
a. To make overall development of the most vulnerable people of the community;
b. To change the socio economic status of the people who are deprived of all basic rights in the society;
c. To provide intensive training to the unemployed youth on population control, increase food production for food security with a view to improve the status of nutrition and health of the community;
d. To undertake need based and marketable skill development training program for the disadvantaged and unemployed youth on different trade/courses to create opportunities of job placement and boost up small business in the community;
e. To establish a training cm resource center in the community to organize different training programs including one community library to update knowledge and access to information;
f. To establish Health Care Center for the vulnerable population who are deprived of basic health care facilities including free medicine or medicine with a minimum cost;
g. To establish a cricket team comprising unemployed cm vulnerable youth for increasing their physical and mental growth as well as to participate in different competition indifferent areas;
h. To establish a news channel named as bcfdfnews.com;
i. To undertake development program through establishing an independent research center in the project area.
