A special congratulations goes to Nusaibah Hossain, who broke as an Adjudicator and was entrusted with adjudicating the ๐Ž๐ฉ๐ž๐ง ๐†๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ ๐…๐ข๐ง๐š๐ฅ; a recognition of her excellence, credibility, and standing on the adjudication panel.

Across multiple days of competition, our members delivered outstanding performances as both speakers and adjudicators, reflecting the strength, diversity, and continued growth of our club.

These achievements are the result of countless practice sessions, constructive feedback, and a community that constantly pushes one another to improve. While these posts may be catching up on the past two months, our journey certainly doesn't end here.

Here's to celebrating these milestonesโ€”and to many more achievements that are still waiting to be written.

Congratulations to everyone who represented BRAC University Debate Club. Onward and upward!

Organised by the East Indian Debating Community as a fundraiser supporting accessibility to ABP 2026, the tournament brought together debaters from across the region for two days of highly competitive British Parliamentary debating.

Competing in a strong international field, Aonkita's team finished as ๐Ž๐ฉ๐ž๐ง ๐‘๐ฎ๐ง๐ง๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ-๐ฎ๐ฉ, while she was also recognised as the ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ ๐Ž๐ฉ๐ž๐ง ๐’๐ฉ๐ž๐š๐ค๐ž๐ซ of the tournament.

These accolades reflect not only remarkable consistency throughout the competition but also her ability to perform at the highest level against experienced opposition.

We're incredibly proud to see our debaters represent BRAC University Debate Club with distinction on international platforms.

Congratulations, Aonkita. We look forward to many more milestones ahead!

Competing against a highly competitive field, BRAC A showcased exceptional analytical depth, teamwork, and persuasive advocacy to claim the championship title.

Winning an invitational tournament of this calibre is a testament to the countless hours of preparation and commitment our debaters continue to invest in.

Congratulations to the team on this outstanding accomplishment. We're incredibly proud of you.

Over the past 2 months , we've had the privilege of celebrating many milestones achieved by our debaters. Looking back, we're proud to begin with one of the first achievements from this remarkable stretch.

A huge congratulations to ๐๐‘๐€๐‚ (๐)๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ (๐“)๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ consisting of Nafiul Nafis and Tashfiah Hasan and ๐๐‘๐€๐‚ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ค๐ข๐ž๐ฌ consisting of Prothoma Banerjee and Nahiyan Yasser Chowdhury for breaking as ๐Ž๐ฉ๐ž๐ง ๐’๐ž๐ฆ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ข๐ง๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฌ at ๐ƒ๐ก๐š๐ค๐š ๐ˆ๐•: ๐˜๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐•๐จ๐ข๐œ๐ž๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐’๐จ๐œ๐ข๐š๐ฅ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ญ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง (English BP).

Hosted by the Dhaka University Debating Society (DUDS) in collaboration with the Social Security Policy Support (SSPS) Programme, UNDP Bangladesh, with support from the Australian Government (DFAT), the tournament brought together university debaters from across the country to engage with motions centred on social protection, inclusion, and public policy.

In a competition that demanded thoughtful analysis, adaptability, and strong advocacy, both BRAC University Debate Club teams delivered consistently impressive performances throughout the preliminary rounds, securing their places in the Open Semifinals.

Their achievements set the tone for what would become an incredibly rewarding few weeks for our club. We're immensely proud of the dedication and growth they continue to demonstrate.

Congratulations once again to all four debaters!

Some names become more than memoriesโ€”they become values that continue to shape generations.

This year, one of the most emotional moments of the BRAC INTRA Debate Championship 2026 was the presentation of the Open Best Speaker Awards, dedicated to the memory of our beloved former BRAC University Debate Club President, Late Sanjid Rahman. The awards were presented by his parents, making the moment a deeply moving tribute that reminded us all why his legacy continues to live on.

This year, Sharaf was recognized as the Best Speaker of the Tournament (Bangla), while the Best Speaker of the Tournament (English) title was shared by Sharaf and Zeedan, who finished in a tie. Receiving awards dedicated to the legacy of Sanjid Rahman made these achievements even more meaningful.

Sanjid Rahman served as President of BRAC University Debate Club from 2013 to 2015, during one of the clubโ€™s most defining eras. As a debater, adjudicator, organizer, and leader, he played a pivotal role in strengthening not only BUDC but also the debating movement across Bangladesh. From organizing landmark tournaments to fostering friendships across institutions, from representing BRAC University on international stages to building a culture of kindness, inclusion, and relentless hard work, his impact reached far beyond trophies and titles.

Those who knew him remember not just his achievements, but the person he wasโ€”someone who always had time to help others, welcomed everyone with warmth, and led by example. His leadership helped build the identity and values that BRAC University Debate Club proudly carries today.

Dedicating the Open Best Speaker Awards to his memory is more than an honorโ€”it is a promise that the standards he set, the generosity he embodied, and the spirit with which he served this community will continue to inspire every generation of debaters.

Thank you, Sanjid Rahman, for everything you gave to BUDC and to the debating community. Your legacy lives on in every speaker who rises to the podium, every tournament we organize, and every generation that proudly calls this club home.

Three days of thought-provoking debates, unforgettable memories, and an incredible celebration of 25 years of excellenceโ€”BRAC University Debate Club's 25th Anniversary Special BRAC Intra Debate Tournament 2026 has officially come to an end.

With 27 English teams and 12 Bangla teams competing, this year's Intra was a true reflection of the passion, perseverance, and camaraderie that define BUDC. From the opening rounds to the grand finals, every debate embodied the spirit of healthy argument and intellectual curiosity.

Congratulations to Sharaf and Nafiul Nafis for becoming the Bangla Champions and Zeedan and Nahiyan for lifting the English Cup. Congratulations as well to every finalist who made the tournament unforgettable. The Bangla Finalists were เฆ†เฆฐ เฆ•เฆค เฆฌเฆฟเฆคเฆฐเงเฆ•, Taarikh pe Taarikh, Tablet pe Tablet, Team Ajantrik, and Jukti Nai Confidence Ache xD. The English Finalists were Hell's Kitchen, How Does This Affect LeBron Legacy, Clock It and Team Scuba.

This tournament would not have been possible without the dedication of our adjudicators, alumni, volunteers, organizers, photographers, and partners. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to BRAC University Art and Photography Society (BUAPS) for beautifully capturing the event, The Front Page for serving as our official media partner, and Agata Feed for supporting us as our logistics partner.

To every participant, every volunteer, every adjudicator, every supporter, and everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenesโ€”thank you for making this milestone celebration truly special. Here's to 25 years of debating, friendship, and legacy, and to many more years of inspiring minds through debate.
