Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) is a not-for profit association that is internationally acclaimed for acting as a catalyst for the responsible development of travel and tourism to, from and within the Asia Pacific region. The Association provides aligned advocacy, insightful research and innovative events to its member organisations, comprising 95 government, state and city tourism bodies,

29 international airlines, airports and cruise lines, 63 educational institutions, and hundreds of travel industry companies in Asia Pacific and beyond. PATA Bangladesh chapter is a local community organization of travel industry professionals who join in a co-operative endeavor – within the framework of PATA – to develop travel and tourism to, from and within the Asia Pacific area.

Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Awards 2025 by The Bangladesh Monitor.

Our Honorable Chairman of PATA Bangladesh Chapter - Mr. Shahid Hamid FIH was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for his 50 Years of Valuable contribution in the hospitality sector.

The Special Event was organized by Monitor Bangladesh with all the industry leaders and with the public & private sector participants. Chief Guest was Honorable Advisor of The interim Government of Bangladesh, Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Advisor for Environment, Forest and Climate Change of Bangladesh. In recognition of outstanding performance and contribution in travel and hospitality, all the organisations were all recognized and awarded for their individual merits.

The meeting was presided over by its Chairman, Mr. Shahid Hamid FIH.
