A student-led initiative of Tour de Force, Department of Tourism & Hospitality Management, University of Dhaka, TerraVerde Chronicles aims to explore and document Bangladesh through the lens of tourism, sustainability, heritage, community, and real-life stories.

Our work focuses on areas ranging from rural and community-based tourism, cultural and natural heritage, indigenous knowledge, destination development, environmental challenges, tourism and hospitality industry gaps, to sustainable, responsible and regenerative tourism. We also hope to explore how tourism can contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and create positive impacts for people, nature, and communities.

The initiative is being carried forward under the supervision of Dr. SANTUS KUMAR DEB, PhD, Professor, Department of Tourism & Hospitality Management, University of Dhaka, whose guidance will help us turn our ideas and field experiences into meaningful documentation and knowledge.

As TerraVerde Chronicles : Bangladesh continues to grow, we look forward to bringing more curious minds, fresh perspectives, and passionate voices into this journey of exploring and documenting Bangladesh.

Stories have the power to preserve what time often leaves behind.

TerraVerde Chronicles : Bangladesh is a sustainability, heritage, and destination storytelling initiative dedicated to documenting Bangladesh's diverse landscapes, cultures, communities, and traditions. Through documentaries, digital storytelling, research, and field-based documentation, we aim to create a growing archive that promotes responsible tourism, community empowerment, and heritage conservation while contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals.

Our latest documentary takes us to Lawachara Khasia Punji, where generations of indigenous knowledge, cultural traditions, and community resilience continue to shape everyday life. Beyond documenting a destination, this story highlights the importance of safeguarding intangible cultural heritage, promoting inclusive education, and supporting sustainable communities values reflected in SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
