The Abdur Rahman Memorial Fellowship Award Ceremony-2026
On May 10, 2026, the AR Memorial Fellowship ceremony was held at BRAC University, Dhaka. This year’s awardees are Nabila Khanam (Dhaka University) and Fariha Ahmed Raisa (University of Chittagong). GNOBB thanks the Rahman family for their generous sponsorship of young Bangladeshi scientists.

The deadline is approaching. This is a very good program to apply for young Bangladeshi Scientists and students. Please remember that GNOBB membership is a prerequisite for application. Before applying read the instructions carefully.

Call for AS Islam & GNOBB endowment research grant proposals:

Global Network of Bangladeshi Biotechnologists (GNOBB), the only platform that connects Bangladeshi life scientists from home and abroad, is calling for research ideas from university-level students and early career researchers of Bangladesh. Only the GNOBB members are eligible to apply.
The AS Islam & GNOBB endowment research grant proposal ideas opened the call in 3 major categories (Plant and Agriculture, Earth and Environment, and Health and Medicine). Successful ideas will be awarded with award money BD Tk. 1000,00.00 (One lac) and/or up to 3-months internships at research laboratories or industries in Bangladesh or abroad (maximum One lac taka per idea).
The one best qualified proposal in each theme will be selected as winner.
The research ideas shall be submitted in a prescribed format within April 30, 2026.

GNOBB is pleased to open the application call for Abdur Rahman Memorial Fellowship. Bangladeshi students who are GNOBB members, and pursuing MS/ MSc degree with research projects for partial fulfillment of their degree can apply for this fellowship. Application from non-members will not be accepted. The fellowship aims to support meritorious students and students who need financial support to continue their degree with research. Make sure to read the instructions carefully before applying
