It is with profound sorrow that we at BRAC University MONON share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Azwad Tawsif and Labib Wadi Sopan, students of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BRAC University, who tragically lost their lives in a drowning incident in Munshiganj on 22nd May, 2026. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji'un.

Azwad was a cherished member of BRACU MONON, a skilled guitarist and vocalist who loved music and radiated warmth through his grounded and approachable personality. His kindness and passion endeared him to everyone around him, and the void he leaves behind is one we deeply feel.

We extend our sincerest condolences to the families, friends, and loved ones of both Azwad and Labib during this difficult time. We kindly request everyone to keep them and their families in your thoughts and prayers.
