A Sensitization Training Session on human trafficking prevention was on 20 May 2026, at the conference hall of the Sadar Upazila Parishad in Narsingdi district under the initiative of the ASHSHASH Project, implemented by WARBE Development Foundation with technical assistance from Winrock International, funded by the Embassy of Switzerland.
The session brought together representatives from government and non-government service-providing organizations.
During the training session, the progress and achievements of the ongoing activities of the ASHSHASH Project were presented by Khalid Mohammad Saifullah, Project Manager of WARBE Development Foundation. He stated that the main objectives of the training were to enhance awareness activities among government and non-government institutions to prevent human trafficking, provide knowledge on the Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling Prevention and Suppression Act 2026, strengthen coordination among institutions for the implementation of the National Referral Mechanism, and improve and simplify access to services for survivors.

Ishaq Faraji, Executive Director of the Anirban Survivor Group; Mr. Kazi Jahangir Alam, Principal of Shilmandi Youth Development Training Center; representatives from the Department of Women Affairs; Mr. Tanmoy Saha of Momtex Group; Ms. Sumi Khandakar, Training Instructor; representatives from other private organizations; OKUP Program Officer; members of the CTIP group of the ASHSHASH Project; and survivor of Narsingdi.
