The U.S. Embassy in Dhaka has announced a major enhancement to its consular services by introducing a two-business-day processing timeline for all immigrant visa categories, effective June 1, 2026.

This initiative is expected to significantly reduce processing times and improve service delivery for individuals seeking to immigrate to the United States through approved visa programs.

Applicants are encouraged to review the Directory of Visa Categories and consult the Immigrant Visa Categories section to obtain the latest information on eligibility requirements, documentation, and application procedures.

The new measure reflects the Embassy’s ongoing commitment to providing efficient, transparent, and applicant-focused visa services.

ভিসা আবেদনের ব্যাংক স্টেটমেন্টে বাধ্যতামূলক করা হলো ‘QR Code’

বিদেশে ভিসা আবেদন প্রক্রিয়াকে আরও স্বচ্ছ, নিরাপদ ও প্রযুক্তিনির্ভর করতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নির্দেশনা জারি করেছে বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংক। ১২ মে ২০২৬ তারিখে বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংকের ব্যাংকিং প্রবিধি ও নীতি বিভাগ-১ থেকে জারিকৃত এক সার্কুলারে দেশের সকল তফসিলি ব্যাংককে ভিসা আবেদনের জন্য ইস্যুকৃত ব্যাংক স্টেটমেন্ট, সলভেন্সি সার্টিফিকেট এবং ইনভেস্টমেন্ট সার্টিফিকেটে বাধ্যতামূলকভাবে QR (Quick Response) কোড সংযুক্ত করার নির্দেশ প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

বাংলাদেশ থেকে বিভিন্ন দেশের ভিসা আবেদনের ক্ষেত্রে আবেদনকারীদের ব্যাংক সংক্রান্ত নথিপত্র বিভিন্ন দূতাবাস ও ভিসা সেন্টারে জমা দিতে হয়। তবে এসব নথির সত্যতা তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে যাচাই করার কার্যকর ডিজিটাল ব্যবস্থা না থাকায় দীর্ঘদিন ধরে দূতাবাস ও সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষ বিভিন্ন জটিলতা ও প্রশাসনিক সমস্যার সম্মুখীন হচ্ছিল। একই সঙ্গে জাল বা ভুয়া আর্থিক নথি ব্যবহারের ঝুঁকিও বৃদ্ধি পাচ্ছিল।

এ প্রেক্ষাপটে বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংক ডিজিটাল যাচাইকরণ ব্যবস্থা নিশ্চিত করতে নতুন এই নির্দেশনা জারি করেছে। নির্দেশনা অনুযায়ী, ব্যাংক কর্তৃক ইস্যুকৃত সংশ্লিষ্ট নথিতে এমন QR কোড সংযুক্ত থাকতে হবে, যা স্ক্যান করলে আবেদনকারীর গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ব্যাংকিং তথ্য অনলাইনে যাচাই করা সম্ভব হবে।

QR কোডের মাধ্যমে নিম্নোক্ত তথ্যসমূহ প্রদর্শনের ব্যবস্থা রাখতে বলা হয়েছে—
▪️ অ্যাকাউন্ট নম্বর
▪️ হিসাবধারীর নাম
▪️ স্টেটমেন্টের প্রারম্ভিক স্থিতি (Opening Balance)
▪️ স্টেটমেন্টের সমাপনী স্থিতি (Closing Balance)
▪️ স্টেটমেন্ট প্রস্তুতের তারিখ

সার্কুলারে আরও উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে যে, QR কোডের মাধ্যমে প্রদর্শিত তথ্য অন্তত ৬ মাস পর্যন্ত সংরক্ষণ ও অনলাইনে যাচাইযোগ্য অবস্থায় রাখতে হবে। একই সঙ্গে ব্যাংকগুলোকে বিদ্যমান সাইবার নিরাপত্তা ও তথ্য সুরক্ষা সংক্রান্ত নীতিমালা যথাযথভাবে অনুসরণ করার নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়েছে।

বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংক জানিয়েছে, সার্কুলার জারির তারিখ থেকে আগামী ৯০ দিনের মধ্যে সকল ব্যাংককে প্রয়োজনীয় প্রযুক্তিগত অবকাঠামো ও ডিজিটাল ভেরিফিকেশন ব্যবস্থা চালু করতে হবে।

ব্যাংক কোম্পানি আইন, ১৯৯১-এর ৪৫ ধারার ক্ষমতাবলে এ নির্দেশনা জারি করা হয়েছে।

✈️ বিদেশে উচ্চশিক্ষা, কর্মসংস্থান কিংবা অভিবাসনের উদ্দেশ্যে ভিসা আবেদন করতে আগ্রহী সকল আবেদনকারীকে ভবিষ্যতে ব্যাংক স্টেটমেন্ট বা সলভেন্সি সার্টিফিকেট সংগ্রহের সময় তাতে কার্যকর QR কোড সংযুক্ত আছে কিনা তা নিশ্চিত করার পরামর্শ দেওয়া হয়েছে।

🤝 𝐌𝐨𝐔 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 | FACD-CAB & The Ibn Sina Trust

দেশের শিক্ষার্থী ও ক্যারিয়ার উন্নয়ন খাতে কাজ করা সংগঠন FACD-CAB (Foreign Admission and Career Development Consultants Association of Bangladesh)-এর সদস্যদের জন্য আধুনিক ও সাশ্রয়ী স্বাস্থ্যসেবা নিশ্চিত করতে দেশের অন্যতম শীর্ষ স্বাস্থ্যসেবা প্রতিষ্ঠান Ibn Sina Trust-এর সঙ্গে একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কর্পোরেট স্বাস্থ্যসেবা চুক্তি (MoU) স্বাক্ষরিত হয়েছে।

রাজধানীর মৌচাকে অবস্থিত ইবনে সিনা চেক-আপ পয়েন্টে আয়োজিত এ অনুষ্ঠানে FACD-CAB-এর পক্ষ থেকে উপস্থিত ছিলেন সংগঠনের সম্মানিত প্রেসিডেন্ট মোঃ জুলফিকার আলী জুয়েল, জেনারেল সেক্রেটারি মোঃ মেহেদী হাসান, ভাইস প্রেসিডেন্ট রবিউল হুসাইন ও জি এম ফারুক স্বপন। এছাড়াও উপস্থিত ছিলেন জয়েন্ট সেক্রেটারি মাসুদ পারভেজ সম্রাট ও সাঈদ আহমেদ চন্দন, অর্গানাইজিং সেক্রেটারি মোঃ সোলাইমান, PR & Communication Secretary মোঃ সানাউল্লাহ এবং সচিব হাবীব উল্লাহ খান।

অন্যদিকে ইবনে সিনা ট্রাস্টের পক্ষ থেকে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিজনেস ডেভেলপমেন্ট বিভাগের AGM ও Head of Department জনাব নিয়াজ মাখযুম নিবিড়ী, ইবনে সিনা ডি-ল্যাব মালিবাগের ম্যানেজার ও Admin In-Charge জনাব কাজী মহিউদ্দিন কাইয়ুম এবং কর্পোরেট রিজিওন ইন-চার্জ জনাব মোহাম্মদ মাসুদসহ অন্যান্য কর্মকর্তাবৃন্দ।

এই চুক্তির আওতায় FACD-CAB-এর সম্মানিত সদস্যবৃন্দ, তাদের পরিবারের সদস্য এবং সদস্য প্রতিষ্ঠানের স্টাফরা ইবনে সিনা ডায়াগনস্টিক ও হাসপাতালের দেশব্যাপী সকল শাখায় বিশেষ স্বাস্থ্যসেবা সুবিধা উপভোগ করতে পারবেন। বিশেষ করে সকল ধরনের মেডিকেল টেস্ট, প্যাথলজিক্যাল ও রেডিওলজিক্যাল পরীক্ষায় সর্বোচ্চ ৩৫% পর্যন্ত ডিসকাউন্ট সুবিধা প্রদান করা হবে।

উভয় প্রতিষ্ঠানের প্রতিনিধিরা আশা প্রকাশ করেন যে, এই অংশীদারিত্ব FACD-CAB-এর সদস্যদের জন্য মানসম্মত স্বাস্থ্যসেবা নিশ্চিত করার পাশাপাশি পারস্পরিক পেশাদার সম্পর্ককে আরও সুদৃঢ় ও কার্যকর করে তুলবে।
